[ ISSUE SOLVED ] Very IMPORTANT i need Help plz
 

Long story short.. soo las nigh i go to SOBs In NY for the Joe Budden f. Slaugtherhouse concert which was 2nd to none! jersey stand up!, lol anyway it was sold out and crowded i decided to take my htc touch out and text a friend and i got bumped and my touch hit the floor ... since then my screen as been white altho phone is fully functional.. what should i do? is there a fix or am i screwed. Im not a hockey fan but for all u fans i was having a drink with sean avery wen this happened lol

you could always try a hard reset, which will wipe the handset clean...but sounds like it could be an internal issue...but as long as your device does not show signs of physical abuse and does not have water damage you can go to a sprint authorized service center or one of their corporate stores and you should be covered for a replacement under your warranty as long as it has been less than one year since your purchase of the touch. If you have had it more than one year than you better have the Sprint TEP for $7 a month extra which will cover you the same way past your one year warranty!

yeh it has to be internal, so my best bet is to take it to sprint to check it out? i do have the protection plan, will they charge me?

Just call sprint proctection tell them whats wrong with your phone ask for replacement and they should give a Diamond or go into the store either way if your phone is bad you should not get a Touch back. Good luck

ok, has this happened to any1 b4? and what was the result, i believe ive had this for less then 1yr i should be good, just a lil mad i have to install m2d and the endless list of everythin else i had

They should swap it for your. just make sure you hard reset and relock it and install the stock rom again. They can be jerks and void your warranty if its modded.

hahahaha very nice i had dinner with him when he was with the red wings...... hes not the hard ass that mabn think he is when you get to talk to him....... sorry that happened to you and you should be able to get the touch if not the diamond sicne you have the $7 TEP plan through sprint. most likely what happened is that you broke a solder that connects the screen with the board and that causes it to not display correctly.

lol, well yeh like i said im not a big NHL fan but all i watch is ESPN so i knew exactly who he was , no1 else really knew him .. i didnt kno he liked hiphop i shoulda ask him "why is everyone dating ur EXs" (lol) anyway yeh i figured my screen popped just didnt want to face the truth in there.. didnt want to kill the mood lol but fuuuuck i kno im gonna have to start from scratch with my next device. on sprint.com i filled out a form and theyre suppose to b sendin my replacment. from the looks its a free fee but im guessin im probably gonna have 2 come out the pocket sucks

I was just about to tell you that you should not have to pay for anything as long as your have the full $7/monthly TEP plan...and its looks like you were smart enough enough to do it online which is faster and easier than in the store...but I believe they still have Touch phones available...tell me are they send you back the same kind of phone or a diamond...either way, your good now...you will not have to pay a dime...all you do is send old phone back within 15 days and your good...I would have taken it to a store first so those lame technicians can at least claim it defective...sometime when you send it in they try to get all technical with you...but you should be good...let me know of any problems

thanks for the heads up, so far it looks good just waiting for my device!!! should b sometime next week, then i gotta start from scratch with M2D lol anyway any advice on things i should save as far as settings to be placed on my new phone?

ok ur phone screen is done, going thru sprint store is so much easier then online b.c ur get the replacement on hand or wait 1 hour compared to waiting for sprint to ship it to u. Sprint has discontinued the touch and mogul devices and have cleaned out. The only place that might have them is at your local sprint store(non 3rdparty). But in the case they dont therefore u are required a free upgrade to the diamond. And as of the sprint tep insurance of 7 a monht, u will never get charged for repairs or swaps. only if u loose ur phone or it gets stolen then yes 50 will be charged.

sprint is pretty fast, i made the claim online on saturday and i just got my new touch 2day monday! brb i gots 2 get busy lol

yea they are but i rather go to the store and put my phone in and wait 15 minutes by going to dunkin donut and getting myself a coffee and the tech a latte with a donut so he can get me a new non refurb phone lol
