alltel to sprinttouch
 

ok, if I wanted to bring my Alltel touch over to the boyfriend's Sprint contract, he already has two lines with them. Is this possible since Alltel doesn't use sim cards? I mean can Sprint just "activate" a touch by the ESN #? and what would I have to do to the phone in order to "unlock" it I guess and do that, if possible?

allte, sprint, and verizon are the major 3 cdma networks in the states.... gsm runs off of the sim card.... good luck trying to get sprint to activate it sicne it usually takes knowing someone working for them to get it unlocked..... but if you go over to his he will add a contract and get the phone for the 2 year price or you could always sell the new alltel touch on ebay and put that toward the touch pro 2 year price :>

yea that's what I thought, but the touch is cdma also is why I thought it wouldn't be a problem to unlock it and call Sprint and have them activate it. Anyways, just don't have 600 bucks to drop on 2 phones right now! so I guess he will get his touch pro and I'll be stuck with the touch for some time..................(sad)!!!

tell him that in the time it took him to get the touch pro it turned into a touch 4 times so its your now hahaha (inside joke)

yea don't think that will work Dashy, you can send me one of your "extra pros" LOL!!!!..........anyways, I will get my touch today and hopefully I will be happy with it. That "reloaded by Probex" is the ROM that I used to flash on my mogul, is there one better than that I can flash on my touch? Like the SMS on that probex rom is ok, but I like the SMS Vito chat thingy, are there any roms that come with that? Touchflo 2D rom of course?

oh my fault, then I forgot the name of the ROM I used then, Dash knows which one it is, he helped me do it over the phone.

for the vogue you need a vogue rom not a mogul rom..... take a look at the rom section and there is many vogue roms including touchflo 2d there :> going to be a busy day but i will help when asked when i get a chance.

wait... so why can't she just unlock her phone and flash a sprint custom rom or generic rom w/ the carrier cab and just call sprint to have them activate it with the esn number?

no becasue they wont have the numbers and the right stuff in their computers...... basically it wont be recognized or it will be recognized but as the competitors phone even if you try online....
