Hard Reset Touch Pro

Ok, apparently I'm losing my mind here. TP arrived today. Unlocked, loaded Kaos' rom, pulled battery, then went to hard reset.... but it never worked. Held down Enter(center button), Vol Down, and hit Power, but it just boot up. Tried Enter, Vol, and Soft Reset with same result.

Am I missing something? I did see some threads around the innerwebz saying that Sprint had HTC disable the hardware hard reset in favor of the clear and delete software option, but I find that hard to swallow.

you have to hold the buttons and hold the soft reset button down the whole time also.... dont let go until the screen asks you about restoring your phone for the hard reset.

Re: Hard Reset Touch Pro

Thanks, tried that too. Finally got it to work with vol down, enter, and power, from a soft powered down state (held power button till warning, saw HTC logo then blank). When I tried before it was from a battery removed and re-inserted state. Not sure if that made a diff or not, but in either case I got a hard reset to go. Now for the laborious task of figuring out what I'm going to install on here. I was a diehard fan of ultimate launcher, but I'm digging tf3d, so thinking it's time to change. Rest of the toys though we'll have to see.
