Anyone having problems with this sites new skin
 

Hey everyone,

I am hoping to find an answer to my problems with this site ever since their upgraded look (which is very nice). The problems I am facing are with creating posts and uploading attachments.. When you click to attach a file or say even upload a custom avatar from your computer the mouse clicks arent working for the browse button. A trick I found is clicking in the text area (next to whichever browse button you are having problems with) then hitting tab then spacebar. Also if you notice the drag bar on the right of the screen in any Wckediden page (except posting new thread or reply message box) will not let you drag unless you double click.. Also highlighting/selecting text on any Wckediden page (except posting new thread or reply message box) is not working, a work around for this is right clicking the Wckediden page and select view source, it will open a text document of the entire pages html coding and text, from there you can copy whatever you want. Other functions that are not working, like try pressing tab while typing text it will not add the spaces like it is supposed to but instead it will scroll down to next selection.. I am using IE, Windows XP SP3 fully updated, I tried on my 64bit Ultimate and it is doing the same things no luck. I cleared cache, cookies, you name it. It is still doing the same things. So just post here if you have any fixes, are having the same problems etc.. We can help eachother sort everything out, with the help of admins and the webmasters of course.

but it was using IE, i tested on firefox and it doesnt have this issue

there's two other skins that are available ..since i don't encounter the issue that you are reporting..if its doing the same then i can say it's vb board and i can track it down.

i was using the lite skin, but im using firefox now so no biggie

yeah, Im also experiencing this, but like Mike said... im at work right now and on IE...

Also, I've been Having issues, typing (i.e replying to posts, leaving comments, etc) when accessing the site from my mobile with Opera... any clue what up with that wcked... I suspect its something to do with VB, and maybe incompatibility issues w/ the newer opera versions because ive come across this issue on other vbullentin sites... also, i have no trouble posting from other mobile browser like skyfire... still just wondering if its me, or if anyone else has noticed it.

it is just ie that is doing all the abocve troubles that you are facing.... if you look below it says that the site is displayed best with firefox so some things must be made for firefox more than ie....... if you want the troubles to go away i would recommend yusing firefox which i feel is wayyyy more secure than ie anyways

i tracked down the source..i had to disable each mod one by one to track it...now that i found it.i have to either fix it or remove it..i appreciate your help ..since i use FF i dint notice any errors within IE even though i tested it...

so hang tight till all is back to normal.

ya i have the same issues with opera and skyfire, but i just use opera for downloads anymore

the image resizer apparently the developer didn't upgrade to the newer vb version, submitting a trouble ticket as we speak.

hahahaha thats why hes the hulk...na not fixed but i know what it is and of course as always waiting for the fix just like the blog too.

hahahahah word and also wcked did we have to get rid of the tabs? i really like that hack.... or is that one of the ones that you are waiting for the update on from the developer.

Ok I noticed it is now fixed! Awesome job huh? Its funny I didnt get one thank you for my USEFULL post! Pretty typical, might not see a while bunch of thank you's but I see that. I am glad I started this thread, and umm.. to the first reply to this thread, I put the thread where wcked told me too and obviously it was a good idea since the issues are fixed within 5 hours!! I guess my detailed description of the problems and their work arounds helped huh?
