ok so since flashing my ROM, I'm getting more and more "issues" with my programs and functionality of my phone..............if the GPS isn't bad enough.............

come to find out my Windows Media Player WILL NOT WORK!! when I try to play a video (stored on SD), I get the error message "the source filter for this file could not be loaded"????? WMP will open and everything, but nothing will play on it?

any suggestions or help???? PLEASE???

what rom are you using?? maybe its a defect on the roms side... did you pull the battery and hard reset after flashing?? anyway, i highly recommend coreplayer, much better than WMP and supports nearly all file formats and has a built in youtube search/player

i used to have gps issues on my touch on all roms except Mustan-Tech (but its an older build... back when WM6.1 was leaked,but served me soooo well LOL)

Dash helped me (once again) flash my ROM the other nite, and he suggested the Dette updated Touch one? anyways, I'm getting seriously aggravated with these two issues right now, and have yet to get the GPS fixed. I have another thread going about that!!!! OMG..........I guess I will try to DL the coreplayer and see if that works. THANKS.

that should work for you since i think the reason that it isnt playing is because the codec isnt there for the player to read the file extension type of the video that you are trying to play...

Sounds like the files that are on the card may have got corrupted. Try draging them from thr card back to your pc. and see if they play there. Just to make sure the file is workin with both audio and video.... I got that message once with my card and what i did to fix it wasnt nice... I hope you get it workin... core player should play mostly any popular video format.

thanks for everyones's help and suggestions, the coreplayer does work, but it seems to lock up my phone? but it will play those vids on the sd too, just when I like try to play youtube vids and stuff, it locks my phone and i have to soft reset. oh well!
