Don't manually install all your applications and settings after every new ROM flash. Use...
SASHIMI AutoInstaller RAW Edition v.7.9 Specialized Automation Script for HTC Installations, MortScript Initiated or simply... http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/6388/sashimizu9.jpg New to SASHIMI? Watch these video tutorials to see how easy it is! Code:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D3FC86B36CB817D8Now you can with SASHIMI Compliance (SC)! For more info check here. SASHIMI FAQ What is SASHIMI? SASHIMI is first and foremost an installer. Its main function is to install CAB, .REG., .XML, .EXE, and .MSCR files that can be used when setting up your device. It can be run in Manual Mode, Automated Mode, or in Manual+Auto mode. SASHIMI can also perform backups of your important files and registry entries and allow for easy restore during installation. It would be impossible to describe all the additional things that SASHIMI can do....well actually, not impossible, just lengthy...so read the documentation or check out the series of video tutorials! What devices will SASHIMI work on and is tied to a specific region/language? SASHIMI was built for the HTC Kaiser and its variants. However it should work on any device running Windows Mobile 6\6.1 with a QVGA or VGA resolution. SASHIMI should work on all WM6\6.1 ROMS regardless of language. For more detailed information see the documentation. SASHIMI's basic functionality should work on non-QVGA/VGA devices however formatting of the menus may not be ideal. In addition, some special features (like the Auto Install to Storage Card) will not function on non-QVGA/VGA devices because they depend on screen taps that are hard-coded to QVGA/VGA resolutions. CHANGE LOG AND FIXES v.7.9 - 11/01/08
CREDITS Thanks go to: Mirko Schenk - Author of MortScript, without which none of this would have been possible. DotFred - For his Task Manager application. This is what gives SASHIMI the power to import .REG and .XML files. The Task Manager program of course is so much more, and I urge you to try it out for all of its features. SASHIMI Users - To all of you who use the program and provide feedback and inspiration in the forums. Thanks! SASHIMI Video Tutorials are here! Code:

Re: SASHIMI AutoInstaller RAW Edition v79
I'm surprised that there isn't tons of posts about this program.....considering we have some junkies that flash every week....and this program cuts the after-flash time (re-modding) your phone down by like a million. Anyways, does anybody know if you can use it to (add a server source) in activesync? That is where I sync my contacts, email, and appointments from.

Re: SASHIMI AutoInstaller RAW Edition v79
Hey Scott, the app looks very good and promising, and possibily a nice and easy user friendly alternative to user customizatioon setup... am I correct in my assumption?
Also (and this may be slighty off topic)... does this app, or is there any other thatll also save (and possibly update) things like browser bookmarks, passwords, email account info, reg edits etc? If not... can anyone point me in the direction of something similar? Thanks... |

Re: SASHIMI AutoInstaller RAW Edition v79
absolutely should be sticky. I joined this guys forum and just learned how to find the REG files so that it automatically registers your apps. I will try to learn as much as I can so that if anybody has questions I can answer them. So far I have my sashimi configured to autoinstal both my yahoo and exchange server emails (which also will sync my contacts, and calandar), my applications both to device and SC, and my REG files to register my stuff. If anybody else wants to join and learn for themselves here is the link:

You need to find the registry files that contain this info and export it to the REG file in Sashimi. This can be done 1 of 2 ways. 1. The easier way is after you find out your serial you go into PHM regedit and click tools/find and search for the actual serial. The problem with this method is that some apps change it somehow....maybe some type of encryption.....and so you turn up no results. 2. The harder way uses a free PC app called WinDiff. What you do (in the case of the serials) is export your whole registry to your storage card. You then install the app and register it manually and then export the whole registry to your storage card again. You then drag these before and after registry exports are placed on your PC into the WinDiff directory. You then open these files with WinDiff and it allows you to compare the files and see all of the differences. This allows you to easily find the changes to your registry made by the installation and registration of the app and copy and these changes into notepad and save as a .REG file....which is then placed in the REG folder of sashimi. With that said, I see no reason that you cant export before making a regedit and then again after and continue as before. Here is the link that lets you download his tutorial on it Code:

On a side note * what was the regedit you cited in your example, it look like some sort of radio signal boost, or something... |
