Flashing Alltel/VZW Now
 

Noob here. I have learned a lot here, in fact kinda overloaded.

Using PPC 6800 currently.

I have believe that I have learned enough to start flashing my phone.
Don't laugh, I am kinda anal, and stupidly try to know it all before
jumping in.
Well in the meantime, VZW bought Alltel. VZW sucks where I'm at
in southern Louisiana BTW. So be it.

Question is, do I still flash to Alltel, or use one of the VZW roms?

I had my ppc6800 replaced, for the third time, and now I cannot
get the GPS to work. When I tried to update the phone, in some
areas it tells me that I need to contact VZW, and in others it does
the Alltel upgrade????:connie_mykilroy:

Any thoughts??

you will still install alltel roms to alltel phones and verizon roms onto verizon phones.

I'm kinda glad that VZW bought out Alltel, their service is GREAT where I am in North Carolina, I had them years ago, and it was the best service, when everyone else's phones wouldn't have even one bar, I always had at least two minimum at all times!

Good Luck flashing, don't make it harder than it seems, b/c it's really not. once you do it, you will think "man that was easier than I thought!" b/c it IS! NOTHING like having an Iphone and what they have to go through..................LOL!!!
