i am new to all of this
i need a good screen lock
i have seen pocket shield throttle lock and S2u2
i do not lik throttle lock at all
i wanted to know what the people smarter then me were using so i can use the best one.

I like S2U2 but it had a couple of gliches. Sometimes the slider would be in the wrong spot and it would make me miss some phone calls

It mainly comes down to preference. I've used S2U2 and Throttlelock and like them both. But I am more partial to Throttlelock myself ecause you can change your pattern as much as you want, and so it's more of a stay out of my phone lock. But you hate it, so can't help you there bro!

i like the pocket sield but to activate it we have to buy it.
I love the sensor lock. It is much easier.
If i cant get that im just hang on to S2U2

Throttle lock is where its at. S2U2 is way to buggy as it is now.

i use throttle lock and love it myself. more than just a screen lock its actually security also.

I've used both Throttle locker and S2U, and I'm back to S2U, I don't have anyone I'm trying to keep out of my phone on a daily basis or info that would matter that much anyways, and personally like the "look" of the S2U better, I've figured out how to make my own wallpapers, so I change them often! Also on a personal note, I like to keep things "clean" looking, and I just didn't like the "bizziness" look of the Throttle locker..................but it's personal preference!

and I've been using the 1.37 S2U version and haven't had ANY problems with bugging out or anything, works very nicely for me!

Agree, I been using throttle lock for some time and I really like it, the best part is that if you don't have the right pattern you can't unlock it. Great APP :>

i forgot my pattern with throttle lock on my phone and had to hard reset it

No hard reset should be needed if you forget your throttlelock pattern...just a soft reset and get in the settings before throttlelock runs...I've done it.

I Like throttle lock better myself for security but s2u2 looks better to me but like superman 369 said it has way to many bugs like for instance if you install in custom tf3d them your manilla weather will not show on lock screen so throttle lock is the way to go but use 0.4 becuz 0.5.1 has way too many flaws

I use s2u2 its awesome never had a prob with it plus u can customize it to ur needs with diff animations or wallpaper

Sensor lock seems pretty cool from what I've heard, but for those of you who have it and used it, how has it functioned? good or glitchy?

too glitch and awkward to unlock in some instances like while driving or when in a hurry..... hard to flip the phone sometimes without dropping it since you rolling in your hand pretty much...... and you have to remember what way to flip it each time otherwise if you mess up once your likely to miss the call.

s2u2 is the best one i think...the most skinnable and customizable IMO....I tried all the others and dont like em

throttle is skinnable and even has a security measure....... dont you ever have troubles with the vga version of s2u2 and all the damn bugs?

the only bug i encounter is that sumtimes s2u2 doesnt execute...I hate that, but other then that its solid.... there is another one call lockmelite at xda, which is solid but its not a cab, its an exe file and u have to execute it every time u hard reset, it works like s2u2 in away by locking when the phone awakes but instead of sideways its top to bottom and have to slide more then 45% of the way or else it wont unlock..so as u slide ur finger u will see the percentage on the screen and it will turn green when its good to let go

Sounds interesting...

Personally Im rocking the throttle lock right now, and Im a fan of it mainly for the added security protection... I am a fan of S2u because of it's cleanly look and ease of use and customization, but it offered no kind of security, and I prefer that, for the nosy ass people I have in my life...lol

why would you not like throttle lock? it locks your entire phone not just the screen. and you can unlock with any slide to open pattern you want. I used to use s2u2 until i found throttle lock.

I just started using throttle lock and every time I unlock it, it brings up my call screen. Anyone seen this before?

I've been using S2U off and on for a while now. I like Throttle as well, but keep ending up back on S2U. Personally, I don't need the security feature, but if I did, S2U now has a pin option as well.

HI and wel i still use s2u2 i have install throttle lock bud got back to my s2u2 i like the older themes customized arrows wallpapers and like to change alot sometime just the arrows the background and now whit the code lock and the new feature in it like it more plus the animated wallpaper you can use so i will go whit the s2u2

never heard of that or experienced that before myself...... you try to soft reset or reinstall the app and see if that fixes the troubles that you are facing?

My best screen locker is s2u2 ,the only thing i dont like about it is haing to side to open all the time it gets kinda frustrating when you get a txt and have to s2u,but other then that its a great app.

I take it that the 2 apps are not compatible with each other. I mean if you like the other features of S2U2 and the dots of Throttle lock, u can't use both together.

well i use both because i like the look of s2u2 when i have the phone on me and i want a cool screen saver.. but if imma set my phone down and dont want anyone to look around inside of it i use tl to keep ppl out..
i have s2u2 set to lock when device wakes up/password off.. ( i dont like the look) and have caller i.d/s2a-s2e off..

and i have tl set to stay locked durring a phone call and lock when pressed

I have been using S2U2 for the most part and the only thing that bugs me is the delay when the call comes in......i have to wait for the screen to come up in order to see who's on.....and another thing thats weird after a call it will freeze on the phone screen and i will have to reset the phone.....

Pocket shield was good as well but it would have the similar delay like S2U2 as well....but apart from that i liked the customization a bit more then S2U2...

I'm going to have to agree with Dashy on this one. WM 6.5 screen lock would be the way I went. As a matter of fact -- i can't wait for it to come out for those of us that aren't blessed with 6.5.... :(

i personally use throttle lock my self why because of security reasons!!
lol the wife always likes to mess with my phone!!!
back when i used the S2u2 all she had to do was slide but now she gets crazy trying to unlock the throttle lock lol!!!!

you have the right idea, many people dont understand this concept. modding your ppc is suppose to be to your liking not whatever looks cool like when people come in here looking to make there phone look like a video on youtube i say the same thing to myself and them that you said above..... just some random babble for the day :)

Is new wm 6.5 lock screen on Spj? If so, can someone please post the link to the thread. I did a search that came up with nothing. I would like to check it out.

i actually have tried all of the mentioned locks in the poll and i have always went back to s2u2, for me on my pro running star 2.0 it runs the best, but yes its personal preference..........

you have to be running a wm 6.5 rom and its inlcluded as the deafult lock.

hey about the 6.5 lock screen,

is there a way for you to use it similar to the way s2u2 or the others work? right now on the ROM i have (energy 3.0) I have to go into start and then select lock as opposed to how if you hit the power button once with s2u2, it automatically locks. any ideas? thanks in advance!

Y not try and use diamond tweak or something and change the path of the right or left key set to lock all u have to do then is push to lock instead of looking for it in the start menu

you could you end call button should be built in and map to that or map to press and hold on call out button from start/settings/personal/buttons

throttle lock for me. My 3yr old son can unlock the slide to unlock but the throttle lock he does not know the combo

I'll go with S2u2. Especially i love the latest version 2.00 its great.
