Mozilla Fennec v1.0.11 Official Beta

The mobile version of the Mozilla Firefox web browser.

This release is pre-alpha, and targets only one device, the HTC Touch Pro. This has a number of user interface implications, including graphics designed for a 300 dpi screen, control layout intended for a VGA screen and reliance on a hardware keyboard for text input.

Requirements:
· HTC Touch Pro

Posting this from my touch pro seems the milestone is out. Have no idea if it works yet as i was reading some comments on it and its mentioned pages dont load.

no the other version from about a week a go or so wasnt the real release by firefox..... this is their real one...

Added download to first post and fixed the code wraps.

Hey Metalmayhem, in the future it is a lot easier to highlight the URL after you enter it and hit the green cog wheel. That will add the code tags for ya. This way you dont gotta worry about missing a slash or letter or whatever:)

same here, such crap...... waiting another release, maybe they can get the browser to actually load pages next time, woohoo progress...

yeah thanks. sorry about that, but I was on my touch pro and couldn't get it to work :/

I've also already installed it to try it and I can confirm it won't load web pages for me :(

Sorry I could test it before posting, maybe consider dumping it in the bin, so it wont cause confusion when a new version comes out.

lol...yeah the one I posted prior was an unofficial leaked pre-beta version as I stated within that thread...if someone finds if any staff finds it before me they can just bin it!

wow. to say this is the obsolute worst browser i've ever tried to be an understatement. this P.O.S. kept crashing my Pro. It would never run properly. I had to remove it and get my Pro to work right again. No other browser i've tried has ever done that to my phone.

well its not even in beta and still is in alpha which is very early stages.... once it gets to beta it will get much better and than they will work the bugs out from there.

from what i've read this was a PRE alpha release (if there is such a thing... i would just call it not ready) targeted at the Touch Pro only... but it seems as though Touch Pros are having issues with it.

soon after i DL it on my HTC TOUCH... it took a long time to DL, a long time to Install... and a long time to boot... eventually it did... but it was not usable at all... they have a long way to go.
