Problems flashing Sprint Diamond Touch to Alltel
 

Hey guys great site. I need some help. I have a HTC sprint diamond touch that I am trying to flash to alltel. I ran the unlocking program, DiamondC_HSPL057 and that worked I think. After that I tried to flash to the alltel rom, NFSFAN's ALLTEL 1.02 ROM and I tried Conflippers_Touch_Pro-1-21-08. Either worked for me. I got errors both times saying ERROR [244] invalid model ID. Then it says this update utility cannot be used for your pda phone. Also, I went into connection and unselected enable advanced network functionality.
I don't know what I am doing wrong.
I am trying to flash to alltel rom then get an alltel account setup so I can use the phone on their network. I cannot use the phone on sprint's network bc I bought a stolen diamond off of craig's.

ok if you getting invalid vendor id you dont have your phone unlocked. and also you need to do more than just have your phone with the alltel rom...... you will also need to get someone at alltel to ok the device and allow you to use it since it isnt from their store.

The DiamondC_HSPL057 file is not the file that I use to unlock the sprint touch diamond? If not what do I use to unlock it?

You said in your first post that you "think" the unlocker worked. What do you mean by that, and trust me...if d/\sh is saying it aint unlocked..then it aint. Just means the unlocker you used didnt work properly. Try it again, your phone will reboot and everything when its done, so you'll know. Also, Im not sure if alltell will allow a stolen sprint phone to run on there network. Cant be sure though, never tried.

I say I think it worked bc the unlocker ran without any errors then reboots. Then when I try to flash to the alltel rom, the rainbow screen say security unlocked. The questions is whether or not the DiamondC_HSPL057 file will unlock the phone and if not is there another unlocker that I could use. Also, do I need to do any manual resets before attempting to install a rom after unlocking it?

What else does the tricolor screen say, besides security unlocked. Let me know what the numbers and stuff are, and we'll be able to tell you if its unlocked.

Thats with it say on the rainbow color screen. I think its the boot screen.

Hmmmm, that does sound like your unlocked. So i dont know what the problem could be.

Dude... the problem is that your trying to flash touch pro and touch/vogue roms to your diamond...cut it out, unless your tryna brick your phone... do some more reading on how to flash, and on the roms before you try flashing them... the diamon and pro may look the same but they are not... whatever rom your trying to flash make sure its for the touch diamond!

Can you point me to where the unlocker for the diamond touch is? I can seem to find it by searching the forums. Thank you in advance.

did you try to use the search feature built in? i did a search for diamond hardspl and it came right up....
