Hey I was wanting to put a bunch of Tf2d themes on my htc touch xv6900..I have verizon service. When I go to download tf2d on my phone it says you do not have sufficient system permissions and I dont know how I can get around it, if theres anyway of getting around it. Can anyone help me and let me know what all I need to do to be able to get tf2d themes on my htc touch? I dont know if I need to flash the rom or if there is a simpler way of doing this. I would really appreciate the help thanks.

TF2d can be very finicky on the touch, I know as I used to have one...
This happend to me multiple times, the only way ive found around it is to retry over again intill it takes, maybe after a soft reset, before running anything else... or u may even have to hard reset then lay the m2d down before other installs for memory sake... but, if you really want it, and at it fullest capabilites, and most system friendly, the best way to go, is to flash to a custom rom with M2d built in...

Yes I have been reading up on how to flash the rom to a custom one, but ive heard by many that if it isnt flashed correctly it can mess the phone up for good. Is the a certain link you can give me to get to a custom rom that i can flash my stock rom to that has tf2d built in?

What version of tf2d are you trying to run? are you installing all cabs in order that was specified? there are many variables with these type of programs for the touch....is your phone secuirity unlocked? are u already on a custom rom? if so which rom? try to give us some more info on what your phone has on it and we may be able to help u out a bit more, :)

There are a lot of different types of roms out there, and they can differ greatly... It's really a matter of preference, but I can tell you when I last was using my touch no too long ago, I was running OMJ's 3.0.9 fully loaded rom v3.0.3... It fast fast, stable, good on battery, and fully loaded some most of the apps I needed were already built in... I know he recently has been finiishing up v. 4... i was helpin to test, but didnt see it finished as I sold my vogue toward the end beta stages... if fully loaded is your thing try that... also 'Dette diamond edition', which is here on the site

Alright I like a bunch of roms..my htc touch is barebone stock, I have only downloaded a few cab games and some programs like i dialer and i contacts stuff like that but I have never changed rom from the way it was when I bought it or anything. The only thing I have updated was the microsoft Net compact framework to 3.5 and I dont think that has anything to do with the rom. I am just looking to be able to download nice tf2d themes..anyway possible like the alien probex one or anything..but i cant get tf2d to install on the phone because of the no sufficient system permissions response. I think it has something to do with the rom verizon uses..I dk I just want help. lol

as they have been telling you above...... if the cabs arent working for touchflo 2d on your phone you will have to keep trying. i dont know why you just dont flash the rom to someything like dettes touch rom and use the touchflo 2d off of that........ would be very easy to do and flashing isnt hard if you follow the step by step directions and use the programs your linked to in the tuorial for flashing roms which you can find below in my signature.

Alright which one would you request me going with for my first rom..I want a really good one that is designed well and has lots of features. Also I dont know which roms request a rev a gps etc etc and others require certain radios like 3.35..is it ok to just go ahead and get both of those things that way when I get different roms I will already have those things..if so where do I find that radio 3.35 and the rev a gps I googled them but cudnt find them..I dont even know what a rev a gps is.

you have to look for the rom that is best suited for your needs...... it will tell you all about what is added and included in the rom..... we all have different needs and different likes so you will have to go off of that....

rev a is internet speeds with cdma providers (sprints fastest) and its the fastest mobile internet browsing fully released atm.

gps allows you to have turn by turn on your device just like tom tom, garmin, etc. ( many apps including garmin and tom tom hposted here also.)

ook so do i need rev a gps and radio 3.35 installed b4 flashing?

not if you flash to the newest stock rom off of the htc website....... easiest route to go and i would recommend flashing that first than going to a custom rom if you are on 6.0 and a non rev a gps rom....
