# ActiveX is disabled - Flash plugins and embedded video streaming do not work.
# Custom software keyboards (IME) will be buggy at best, not working at worst.
# No multilingual build - Only English is supported. Problems with other languages (and input methods) are not unexpected.
# Installation on memory cards may cause problems.
# Text wraps in overview mode.
# Main testing has been done on English HTC devices (Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch, Touch Dual, Touch Cruise, TyTN and Wizard) and Samsung i900.
# Landscape mode does not take keyboard position into consideration.
# Devices with low memory might get Out Of Memory (OOM) messages.
# Opera is always running when the Widgets Manager is running.
# On devices with hight DPI some of the pre-installed widgets look small.

wow.. slick new stuff. but this version is changing my keyboard.. its changing it to a super small one which you have to use the stylus.. yikes. who wants that? everytime i change, it changes it back... weird. anyone else report it does the same?

i never said one thing regarding your comments LOL.. i put positive comments in the same post you are referring to but asked if anyone else had the same issue. i dont need you telling me to be thankful for these posts & new builds when i did nothing wrong. Wckediden frequently asks for users to review & post experiences with each new release that drops. I dont understand why you are singling me out, my comments were NOT negative.

seems you need a better understanding of the english language before commenting on my posts.

i am not trying to pick a fight.. i thanked the guy who released it & marked as installed. whut am i doing wrong?

yo bro relax, he is a mod and no matter what language he speaks it was a misunderstanding....so be respectful to staff....u in fact did not do or say anything wrong in your first post, but do not temp staff with arguments because whether were right or wrong we have the right to manage threads. so water under the bridge. thank you for thanking the author and marking installed.....let us know if you figure out the issue with the keyboard.....also.... are you using anyother type of keyboard app beside the built in one???

thanks for your moderation.. i couldn't figure out why he was picking me out of the bunch to scold.

anyway regarding the keyboard i am using the HTC Ezinput that came with my rom. thats the default one i have set, but anytime i open this new opera & try to type. it reverts to the old school small keyboard where you cant use your fingers. its really weird. i'm surprised i'm the only one so far having the issue!

hmmm that is weird it may be because its still beta.....but do u have quickmenu installed....i use to have an issue with my input changing and not reverting to what i click....and quickmenu was the culpret...other than that im not entirely sure what could cause that.

the rom i'm using is in my sig.. WDM's M2D rom v1.6 i know its kinda outdated but i simply luv it.

& thats the weird thing, this doesn't happen on ANYTHING else, this is the first time i've ever seen it do this. i've installed/upgraded about 5 versions of opera builds on this phone, but this is the only version i've seen do this. its wild i tell you!

i have opera 1957 cooked into my rom. is it possible to update over it and use this new version? ive heard its kinda tough when cooked into a rom

Hey DrDrew... does it switch the sip keyboard when u launch the app only, or does it not let you use the keyboard at all when using opera (even after manally changing it back)? I the keyboard functions normal, after you manually switch it back while using opers, I'd suggest gettin an app called 'SIP Change' to force the device into always using it as your default keyboard...

zkush - yes you can install it. i've never had a problem & opera was cooked into my rom. i always install opera to sd anyway & dont have any issues.

crazay- i appreciate your idea but i dont agree with installing another app just to make this new opera work. as far as i can tell that sip change just makes sure each time u reset your device it assigns the SIP of your preference. i could be wrong tho. i ono

ogrenator- its an added feature set to work with "google gears" you can read more about it here.

Yeah man I feel you, Its a pain to have to install another app just to try n fix the glitch one on u already have... The object is to get what you have working properly, not install more stuff to eat mem... that being said, I suggest because it may be a fair enough work around to the situation as I am unsure of what could becausing that problem, since i dont use this version...and yes your right, that is exactly what SIP change does... it assigns and forces whatever SIP of your prefrence to be the default on your device, the though being that, when opera opens and it tries to switch to the winMo keyboard, SIP change wont allow it, or will automatically switch it back...

again thanks crazay! i have a feeling that would create some sort of loop type thing each time i wanted to type in opera. i mean if i minimize the SIP & try to type again in opera, it changes it EVERY time! lol it'd be like constantly fighting itself, cuz opera doesn't remember what sip i chose if i minimize the keyboard.. its nuts!! i really do appreciate your ideas tho. i think i will wait for the next release & hope it doesn't **** with me lol
