Sprint Picture Mail (Issue Fixed)
 

Ok so how many of you out there cant get sprints picture mail to work...guess what i found a way....you all most likely run frame work 3.5 for all your goodies...well sprints pic mail hate 3.5..its based of of 2.0....so install both frame works.....

install this....

now this has a 'Device Policy' tab allows you to set which version of dotnet to use by default.

The 'Application Policy' tab allows you to set which version of dotnet to use for a particular application.

I set the device policy tab to use 3.5 and put the picture mail app in the application policy tab to run with 2.0. its located in windows/picturemail.exe type it in just like that

now after this.....

1. go to epst ##3282# and edit/restore. soft reset. (you will need your mrl)Then Soft Reset
2.Go to Start/settings/update profile. soft reset.

it should be working now....tested and confirmed with my fiances Verizon phone...sent 20 pics all went through in under a minute...sent them back to me...got them back in same amount of time....

REMEMBER TO PRESS INSTALL AND THE THANK YOU BUTTON........

i was wanderin where can i find netframe 2.0 i looked around but cannot find here i googled it but dead end keep gettin netframe 3.5 which i have already thanx in advance

ok guys nevermind on the netframe 2.0 i found it and installed it but when i enter the ##3282# it asks for an unlock code how do i retain the unlock code and mrl thanx in advance

i don't think this will work for you..its more for pro and diamond for the picture mail...you can try it though...its posted in the 6800 help desk for a msid and mrl grabber.

Cool and i downloaded that 2.0 file and its in like a msi format what am i suppose to do with it and im such a NOOB!

plug your phone into pc...connect through activesync device center what ever you got..and run... it installs through there...

side note....walking big jew through this noticed some customs dont have prl and profile update...so i added cab for it in first post....

Thnksalot hopefully this will fixed my promblem, theyve been sending pics thru sprint pic mail and never recieve anything probably will recieve them 3 0r 4 hrs later thnxs KAOS appreciate all your help..peace

it should did on my end...it takes patience to do...so far i got jew able to send now...working on the receiving issue...but i think a re provision will cure that...

as it says in the first post you need to download the msl grabber that he linked you to. and so far so good thanks kaos!!

glad to hear it....same here...jew seems to be the only one having issues....he can now send but hes not getting them...could be network in his area....lets hope he doesn't give up..

you wont know till you try...lol jew wasn't able to do anything...now he can send....give it a shot...Im not sure if mightys run customization or not...but it could be a cab from that...if i could get my hands on the ext rom. i could most likely pin point it....i believe dash is on mightys and his works...I was using juggs and it worked...I flashed and relocked stock and have 3.5 & 2.0 installed and it works..waiting on replacement pro...

switch roms...lol or call sprint have then remove and re add it to your account like i said..It obviously works now that you can send...so its gotta be something on their end on the redirect....DON'T GIVE UP.Do the foot work man..Some shit is fixed easy some inst....But like i said i think dash is on mightys his works...so call your job...as broski says DO WORK.

well.. i flashed to Mighty's new ROM 4.11. then i did everything we did earlier form scratch. it was the first thing i did... i dunno wtf.. i can see the pics online.

call them and have them remove it from your account ..then re add it...i don't know how many times i gotta say this....you wanna kno if its the rom or your service...flash jugs or the stock dump(so you won't need to relock) then do it and try...if it still no work..then its sprints end...bottom line....you gotta be willing to fix it...

nice find on the fix kaos, alot of ppl have been complaining about sprint pic not working...I never had that problem as it always worked fine for me even with mighty rom 4.11

I've been fighting with Sprints Picture mail and how it wouldn't work. Kept getting a G66 error (amazing how this isn't documented at Sprint) and actually won't first made me stumble upon this forum. Lo and behold nothing I did fixed it, except to just wait. Randomly one day it stopped erroring out n registered. Far as I can tell it's been working ever since- but now I'm paranoid o.O so doing this too. Although I noticed 3.5 isn't even installed.... oh well will be soon :-)

gyrator and h tourch light need 3.5 as well as some others.....and the G66 unable to register is documented at sprint...at least it was with rep i spoke too...lol

i use this cab from arcsoft sprint mms this works perfectly for me pics send and recieve flawlessly.running the best rom out htere which is mighty's 4.11Attachment 20638

The MMS app just doesn't intercept the incoming MMS, and they appear in my SMS notifications as they normally would. Thats from xda...Theres a thread on it there...just like this...some say works some say doesn't..this is a way to make what comes on the phone work..lol

my phone wont install 3.5. i installed 2.0 no problem but the other one wont take. i am running the latest mighty rom.

try running live search first, then install. for some reason i wasn't able to do it either, but i ran live search, and it worked after that.

I tried that but it still wont work. this is te error message i am getting.

"Installation error. Stop all applications and processes, maximize available storage space, and run installation again. Support info 2."

i just soft reset, ran live search, and then as soon as live search opened it said it needed 3.5 to run, so i hit the x button and ran the 3.5 cab. the first time i got that error, but eventually i got it to work. just soft reset and try right after the touch flo loads, and if not, soft reset and do the live search option. believe me, one of those times it will take it.

alot of the picmail problem is with sprints side, not us or roms....Sprint is aware of problems with picmail and tier 2 techs said they are working on getting it fixed prompt and not forget that they just allowed smms back on pda's devices except for palms....

I still can't get 3.5 to install. i tried opening live search but mine says it needs net 2.0, so I dont know what to do now. I guess i will keep using smms until I can get it to work. I dont know if its because I am running the latest mighty rom or what.

the new mighty rom has 3.5 installed already....its built in the rom......do u mean u cant get 2.0 installed.....because u stated live search is askin for 2.0...please clarify that so we can help u out.

I had posted earlier that I installed 2.0 and could not 3.5. the reason i tried to install 3.5 is because net config only shows 2.0 installed only, so I figured I had to install 3.5 as well. someone suggested that I run live search and it would ask for me to install 3.5 and then that would help with problem I was having. It didn't. It asked me to install 2.0 instead.

well if 2.0 is installed pic mail should work if not follow the other steps to reprovision in the post the ##3282# restore then profile update...also you do have pic mail on your account right..you can log in at correct?

yes i do have a picture mail acct. I was using smms before this. If i install 2.0, don't i also have to use that net config program too. when i open it, it only shows 2.0 and when i try to assign picmail it doesnt even show up.

ive said it once and ill say it again you have to manually assign it..type it in the pic in first post shows what to enter...and if you have only 2.0 installed and only 2.0..then you don't need this fix. re provision..or call sprint...to have them fix it...this fix is for people who have both version installed..sprint pic mail requires and runs on 2.0 if thats all you have and it doesn't work call them...or re provision like i said...

there is another msl generator here called baf msl grabber. or you can just call sprint and ask for it.

on step 3 of the net config. were it says override device policy for app. (window/picturemail.exe)---i dont have that as an option to select. I have installed all cabs that are supposed to be installed. anyone know what i may have/not done or be missing?

have you tried a soft reset to see if that clears the troubles up for you? its always a good idea to soft reset after installation of a new program.
