SPRINT Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24. Threading MMS works! (Updated 3-2-09)
 

Here is Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24. This version does threaded Picturemails!!!! Makes life more complete.

I made 2 versions.

1. "Sprint Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24.cab" is for installing on a clean rom that doesn't have picturemail. If you had arcsoft installed, uninstall it first.

2. "Sprint Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24-pm.cab" is for the stock ROM, or someone that has installed Sprints Picturemail Cab. Don't think it works with ROMs that have Picturemail cooked in them.

After you install the cab, Soft Reset your phone.

The default is 512k sending limit, and 10 meg d/l limit. I removed the limit for editing the server setting. Now you can edit the sprint server, and change the limit there in the app without having to do any regedits. You can select 512k (For compatibility with other carriers), 1 meg, and 5 meg.

Notice: Sprints MMS servers have been slow lately. If it takes an hour or two for someone to get your MMS, it is on Sprints side, not Arcsoft.

So I used my settings from my Arcsoft MMS 5.0.69.44 cab, and I also added the nice icons from gadgetfreak (Here is the Thread). I even have it remove all the arcsoft settings before installing, because other arcsoft installers leave registry entrees behind when they uninstall. I would also like thank KillerQ. He inspired me to make the code that uninstalls Sprint Picturemail.

Update! Got it working now. It was semi-working before when I created this thread, but the date on all sent items was 10/26/40... Not good for threading. Figured it out after a while. The CDMA_API.dll was the problem. I ended up finding a different version with google that fixed The problem. I also added a script that adds X-Sprint-MDN to the registry with your phone number.

I sent a couple pictures out to non-sprint customers waiting to see what happens.

* I SENT THEM TO MY LADIES OMNIA AND SHES GETTING THEM WITH THE QUICKNESS AS AM I SO NO COMPLAINTS HERE... as of now..

i sent 1st message after i installed and my lady got it 7 minutes later, then i waited 10 minutes to send another one and she got it a minute later which is really good..looks like it works and doesnt giving how sprints servers are working..

would this work for a touch pro that is alltel that i flashed to a different rom that doesnt have mms? i guess i will try it and let everyone know.

no because this is only for sprint you will need the alltel mms cab

ive been trying to findthat on here for about 8 months now. lol. i got one that i thought wasit but it sent mms for a few days then would never get pictures i got sent to me. it was arcsoft but it said alltel. didnt work on the mogul. havent tried it on the touch pro. and its only version 3

yeah thats the one i downloaded, and it wouldnt let me start a new mms message. when i installed it on the custom WM6.5 rom it said the program was made for a previous version of windows, so it may not work properly. so thats my dilemma. lol

im using it with the mighty rom (R3BORN)...its awesome!!! alot better than sprint picture mail...arcsoft mms is the sh!t !!!!!

I was curious about the archsoft threads. I tried to send a pic via picture mail and it seemed to work fine, at least the person got the pic. But I installed the Arcoft MMS 5.0.69.44 anyway (not sure why). Does this newer version do anything better or is this just for ppl who have had problems sending pic mail?

probably the rom ur running had it built in... stock rom you usually have to instal a pic mail app... and generally speaking arcsoft is jut one of the best!

oh yeah its better, instead of having a link to click on with a tiny ass picture you get this nice little icon you tap which brings you to a large picture that you can actually see.

Since I installed this my "Mark All as Read" option in mail opens the "MMS Options". "MMS Options" also opens the mms options (in case someone asks). I am running NFSFANs WM65 ROM v12 on the HTC Touch. Can this be fixed?

yep me and dash tested this and we was wondering why the audio voice was going to the picture mail folder.I later found out that the picture mail and arc was causing a conflict together.so you can use either or.I suggest Arc

yea its workin now, i was thinkin it was a app but i jus tried my sprint mail n now its sendin it takes a lil but after my phone says sent they get it pretty fast, thanx 2 all thats been helping me

no torubles thats what we are hear to do, and if time to time someone gets a little touch just ignore it sicne it does get draining and stressful from time to time.

To anybody else still having pic mail issues, make sure u set to program server to default and soft reset, it worked for me.. lol
