New Facebook App Stripped from 6.5

- this works on VGA for sure, i do not know about any other resolutions.
- This thread is for the Facebook app but second megaupload link has the new facebook and netflix app.

*FIX FOR NON WWE ROMS*
If you do NOT have a WWE Rom this will NOT install to the right folder, if you anything other than WWE look to Windows/Start Menu/Programs for the links and move them to you programs folder.

*FIX FOR TEXT NOT APPEARING*
Just changed facebook.exe.0409.mui(WWE English) to facebook.exe.040C.mui(French).



Current Know Issues
1. Can not be installed to Storage Card
2. If not WWE Rom, install may be not be perfect
3. Login Info will NOT be saved even if "save info" is checked (if you close with the X button(or other apps) instead of the "log out" your login info will be saved

5. First launch takes a while to cache all info

I really like this app. Its about time microsoft actually came out with a FB app. They just need to incorporate FB chat. My only problem is with only being about to scroll using the scroll bars.

hi whats the problem you dont see it in your apps list on your device i see you have a s621 dont now of that wil work on it

no the thing is that im putting this app on my friends htc diamond and when he downloads the app to his phoneshe does not see it on hes app list

hi thit you install it on your device memory or storage card MUST BE INSTALL IN DEVICE

did you soft reset. after install? Also, it mabe on the start menu drop down and not in the programs list.

kk i saw it in remove programs and it says thats its downloaded but i just cant see it on his htc diamond

k so i finnaly got it to work ion his phone now when he goes on it it brings him to the log in screen well thats what we think because we cannot see the ritting plz help me

what do you mean you cant see the writing? and also is your device vga or qvga? you keep going around the boards flopping from your device and than to your friends and dont tell us in every post what phone you are referring to..... and have you tried a reinstall.

Thanks A LOT for this! It works great on my Touch Pro. I did have to soft reset to see the news feed and status updates. I know you mentioned it before, but maybe another person confirming will help out... LOL

Theres an update option on the bottom left of the screen. That will refresh your page.

thats what i did but when i open the app i dont see the rithing all i see is 2 rectangles and a check box and o see an ok button on the top right of the screen when i click it it doesnt do anything plz help bro

am i missing something... can you not reply/comment on people's status updates and comments? right now (from what i see)

you can VIEW people's status updates... or respond to messages, but not comment on status updates(like you can on the computer)

i was talking about something else... you might want to uninstall and reinstall... try a soft reset... or try getting the file from a different website... i got it from another website (same app but before it was posted here) and it works fine.


i just wanted to know if anyone else can post on other people's status using this app.

(i just think its not built into the app functionality at this time)

Make sure you have an active data connection when you launch the app. It took me a while to figure that out, but on my current TP Rom (Mighty 5) it won't launch without an active connection. Facebook shows up in the title bar, but after a few seconds it goes back to Today screen. Since I have my data connection set to disco automatically, I have to launch IE or the like before I launch the Facebook app.

Now, on a different topic, I can't seem to refresh my wall on demand. The refresh button on the home updates news and status messages, but doesn't seem to update my wall. Example, I got a couple emails about new posts, launched app and they weren't there yet. Tried to figure a way to refresh the wall page, but never could get it. Is it me?

i wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't just you. this app is still early beta from an early beta of 6.5 so it's pretty safe to assume it'll be far less than perfect.
