Big thanks to jphreynaud over at xda... original post here:
Another TV application for our PDA ...
When you double click on a TV/Show Icon its stream is launched in the selected player (CorePlayer, Windows MediaPlayer or TCPMP).

Since version 3.xx, MORE THAN 500 CHANNELS Links are provided from many countries

Dynamic address (according date) streams are managable ...

I developped this small app because my children was not enjoying me watching the TV News at 8pm every day ...
Now I can watch the News in my bed before sleeping
I named it WebTV ...

Feel free to share any new TV stream (working) that you can find.

Enjoy http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gif

Last version : Version 3.01 - 15/03/2009
- Removed iExplorer from the Player list (was there only for test purposes and now useless)
- Sometimes, when pressing Exit menu in Config. Dialog, "Save Modif" question was not displayed.
- Compatibility for 320x320 pixels screen. (To confirm from users ...)
- Favorites channels file "WebTVList.xml" is not part of install kit anymore. The favorites will be preserved after software reinstallation or update
- Added Few channels and many Channels Icons ...(thanks to xda community)

More info ? see ReadMe.txt in attached WebTV_0301.Zip file

Dear all,

To add new channels, please proceed as follow:
From your PC, using a text editor (ie: Notepad), edit the file "WebTVList <yourcountry>.xml" located in WebTV\Channels Pack folder. For that you need first to copy this file from your PDA to the PC.
You will find all the currently existing links coded like this :

<Channel Country="ccc" Type="ttt" Name="nnn" Link="lll" Icon="iii.jpg" />

Where :
ccc = Channel Country Name
ttt = Channel Type (Music, News, Movies, Entertainement ...
nnn = Channel Name
lll = Stream adresss (something like mms://...
iii.jpg = The 64x64 pixels icon for this Channel.

You can update any wrong/incorrect parameters you want of an existing channel, or create completely new lines for new channels (one line = 1 channel)
Please try to make this process in a clean way !!!
After edition, copy the modified file from your PC to the PDA at it's original location.
Please check if the xml file is opened well with the WebTV App, if you type any mistake (double quote missing, equal sign missing ..) the WebTV app will display a error message and will stop to the last read channel. This means the next one as a typing mistake ...

Also, please create 64x64 pixels icons ONLY in order to get nice icons on any devices.

When you have updated your channels, post a Zip containing the modified xml file + all the icons you've found for this list of channels.

This way, I'll update the channels file for everybody on a regular base.

I'm now leaving for a 5 days trip and probably won't be able to check this forum. I hope everything is clear for everybody now.

Thanks for sharing your new/updated links of your own countries ! http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gifhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gifhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gif

PS: Do not edit the file WebTVlist.xml or WebTVList(example).xml, those are your local own favorites and are rebuild automatically every time you use the "Channels ..." Configuration dialog from the Setup Tab.
