reinstalling the original rom
Ok, so I dumped my rom when i first got my phone, and now i am having problems with it, so i need to send it back, but how do i put that original rom back on? it is in two files named part1.raw and part2.raw... i have gone through about 15 differnt roms, so i figure i know how to install roms with the RUU, but what do i do with these two files now?
I have tried the stock roms that are out there, but they are all still flagged as being from whichever kitchen was used to make them. I want to put my original back on, have it being rom version 1.22.557.1 or what ever it was... is there a program that i need to extract the raw files into a kitchen and rename the version txt file myself? |

I have a stock mts ROM, but it is labeled as a C4RBON.kitchen in the info after i flash it and lock it. the carrier is going to know that that isnt right. |

HTC doesnt have stock rom for my carrier... MTS is a CDMA carrier... i believe Bell and MTS share the same phones.

Re: reinstalling the original rom
just relock and flash tothe rom made that looks like stock and they will never notice the difference since they arent going to place it in boolader or any of that jazz sicne if they ahd to do that for everyone they would need mad employees checking these phones out.... trust me i worked at sprint and dealt with some of this at a corporate building and they just take them out of the package and throw the stylus and other accessories into 1 bin and the phones into another... they dont even turn them on unless they are beat up really badly

Re: reinstalling the original rom
Thanks for the input, but i know the company, i have worked for them, and they are anal... can i say that word here? oh well, will find out. they are going to see it... they look for things like that, they look for tampering. anything they can use to get out of having to do things for "free" Anyways, i have my two raw files still, is there a way to get them back onto the phone?
