[ ISSUE SOLVED ] Htc home customizer
 

OK, new guy. Read the Noob guide. And, I've searched all night for help. Either the topic hasn't been covered (i doubt that) or, I just can't find it (likely). In my defense, there are a whole lotta threads!! (to the point) I've installed htc home custmizer on my new touch pro and I can't get anything to work. the app opens, and i can pick and choose what i want, when I close the app i do a soft reset but nothing. can ANYONE help or link me to the right thread. I'm going nuts over here!!! Thanks in advance

the problem you are running into is because the vga version of HTC Home isn't compatible with the htc home customizer. I think it is because all of the themes that come with the customizer are qvga so you are out of luck if you want to change the icons/clocks on the vga htc home

yup exactly, but he can change the themes he would just have to overwrite the stock image files in the windows folder.... but also to the user make sure that you are running the vga version of the plugin or that will also create a problem with the plugin looking really off center and sloppy looking or to not show at all...

okay...forgive my ignorance...I'm trying to figure this stuff out. How is my touch pro different from anyone elses. Is it that its the Sprint version? How do I get change my junk?

yes you have a vga screen resolution meaning 480X640 pixels and most other devices are qvga 240X320 pixels so the apps wont display correctly on your device.... and with the touch pro you have touchflo so why would you wanst to go back to the old ass htc home plugin? but do a search for htc* home and your bound to find the vga version easily. also to change your "junk" you iwll have to take a look at my signature below as it seems you havent and read the noob guide.... many if not all of your beginning questions has been answered and made easy for you to access in the links below this post in my sig.

ok....I HAVE read the noob guide....but, i will humble myself and read over it again...it IS possible that i missed something ( if not everything). THanks for your patience...I'm sure you get morons like me all the time!

Dash, I figured out why I couldn't follow any of your screen shots in your sig. I needed to change the way I viewed the forum! That helped.
