active sync is a pain in the a

hey im having a problem with flashing and even unlocking my touchpro....everytime i go to do it it will start to load to the tri color screen and when the screen goes black when its about to change active sync will disconnect..and the rom update wont work...and if im connected to active sync and i press the power button just to turn the screen to sleep mode not off it disconnects then when i turn the screen back on it will reconnect...any idea why?

why is this an article?? moving to pro questions

the problem is that when you put it to sleep, the power cuts off activesync will disconnect, leave the screen on theres no reason to put it to sleep when unlocking or flashing

you can put the device into bootloader if you want, its easier to flash that way

its because by turning off your screen you are breaking the connection between your device and your pc.

theres an issue on your side than.... have you unlocked your device? have you tried to unlock it? have you checked to make sure that your usb connection is good on the phone, that your firewall or virus scan isnt blocking it from connecting ofr a longer period?

Make sure you have .NET framework installed on your PC. Also, make sure that you're trying to unlock your phone FIRST, and succeed before flashing to any custom ROM. You can also try via SD Card... it's much easier that way anyway. Read through the thread on unlocking your phone. There is a link to it in the Flashing ROMs thread here.
