Dash help please
 

O.k I have a verizon vx6800 with psycho's rom. I just read that I wasn't supposed to use it with verizon. I really love the rom it has everything that I need except the GPS thing... my radio is 3.42.50 I search and search but nothing. I don't know if the sprint rom is messing it up?? What do you suggest?:PDT_Armataz_45:

its not going to mess your device up..... you will be fine.... what you have to do is go with a different rom of your choosing and flash it than you will be fine.... jst be sure that you arent restoring your device using a backup program after the flash. (contacts and activesync are fine just not ones like swcked backup, resco backup, or sprite backup)

No you dont understand. I like the rom the only problem is that I can't get the GPS working. I understand google maps not working because I'm under verizon, Igo doesn't work?

Should I use a different radio? I think I'm using the latest one.

go under start/setting/gps, and choose com0 and see if that helps.

i changes to com0 did not work... both agps and gps dont work

to better help you, can you tell us what the message says when you try to connect to the gps.

You can check over at xda....they hvae a thread going reference this issue.....its a huge thread but you can google verizon xv-6800 gps settings and it will pop up.....In the little bit that I have seen floating around over there, it has to do with a program, cab or whatever called "Valhalla".....

they should be able to get you up and running....

yup as dev stated you need to use the cab that unlocks your gps features with verizon.... its already been made for the mogul quite some time ago.... and no biggie or nothing but in the future use a title that deals with your problems so it can be easily found using hte search feature by others...... and please dont ask me directly for help in the title...... this is a community forum and not a dash forum so all can help and give their ideas and on top of that it helps me out also otherwise i would never be off from Wckediden becasue there would just be sooo much to do and get done..
