PROBLEM HTC Audio Manager
 

any time i try to load the HTC audio manager on my verizon touch pro and error message appears that says "A problem has occcurred with audiomanager_eng.exe" The phone is brand new out of the box so i went into a verizon store and they swapped it out with another brand new one and the same problem occurred. Ive tried to call verizon and HTC and neither of them know what the problem is or how to fix it. Im hoping sum1 out there has had the same problem and knows how to fix it. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

easy my friend... First it is stock.So it has netframe work 2.0 on it. Install net frame work 3.5. a simple google search will turn this up for you.

I wish it was that simple kaos. Ive got 3.5 on my phone because other programs i use need it and it still doesnt work...

then it is 2.0 it requires.... look for the old sprint picture mail post.. I have a app there that lets you choise what program take what frame work..Ill see if i can find it.

cool...if you could find it that would be great...the only thing that i dont understand is that even when the phone is brand new, with nothing custom installed, the audio manager doent work....really weird cuz the first one i had worked fine str8 out of the box and this is the 2nd that hasnt worked

consider it could be a bad file then. I would suggest trying a different copy...try this

Man, im sorry. i think i confused you. Im talking about the audio manager that is in on the music tab on TF3D. this is what happens when i start fresh out of the box (or after a hard reset). I go to the music tab and it says sumthing about "searching for songs" (it takes alot longer than on the phone that worked). no songs appear but after about a minute i get the "microsoft has encountered an error" message. when i close out the error message its still on the music tab but it still says searching. i can go to any other tab then back to the music tab and it shows the first songs title and artwork but it will not play any music. and from then on anytime i press the play, arrow(s), or soft key buttons i get the error message. hopefully that explains it a lil better....any help????

well to truly know wtf is up with it...flash stock rom. should fix it..

Im always hesitant on "flashing" roms to begin with but wouldnt you think that a BRAND NEW phone (2 of them at that) should have the stock rom on it...verizon had no idea how to fix it (which doesnt surprise me but, even HTC didnt know what the problem was

well the tab opens audio manager the program. if its not under program then its mia from stock rom. install what i posted for audio manager. soft reset...and i bet the tab works.

I have the same problem. Its the application its self. It will start to play a song the error. Attempt to load then error. Are there alternative players outside of window media?

Its not just the tabs. When I had the older Rom from Sept or October I did not have problems until the rom with the November dates.

Any other applications?

well kaos, i finally figured it out...it has sumthing to do with my memory card (which worked fine on the first touch pro i had) i took it out and the stock songs played fine....im assuming ill have to reformat my card...ill update if this works...thanks again for your help and sorry for the delay

Do you mind updating your profile to say you have a touch pro?... i was just reading this thread for the first time, and was confused as to you havin tf3d on a stock rom mogul...lol... now it makes since... thanks!
