SMS\Text box size

In the threaded text page. Is there any way to make the sms response text box larger (were the red X is in picture), so you can see the entire text or at least multiple lines.

I don't know that it's possible through the WM software itself (at least I haven't come across it). But if someone confirms, look around for different sms programs that may give you a different layout.
