Problem with HTC Touch
 

Hi, i have had a HTC touch (P3450) for 18 months now and now its stopped working, it sometimes turns on but thats rare and then goes back off after a very short while (sometimes turning the orange boot screen green..) i am unable to charge the phone (the red light doesn't come on) i have replaced the battery but still no luck, is there anything else that could be suggested?

Id suggest taking it in for a replacement/repair... hope you got the insurance paln

i had, but it was like 3 days to end of contract and i already have my new phone but i wanted to sell it on ebay ;)

Ahh I See... well then lower your price and sell it for someone needing spare parts or something

sounds like the internal mother board is on its last leg if you ask me..... you can try to flash it to a custom rom or hard reset if you havent tried but i feel by your description it is internal troubles and the best from there that you could do is sell it off for parts and you would prolly get around 50 max for it that way since they only sell of rabout 100

yea thats something im thinking of doing, just been strange, i put my battery in the freezer for an hour the day it failed and when i put it back in the phone i got it booted to desktop before it died, one of the reasons i suspected the battery

with a blow on the connectors and bit of a wiggle with the charger cable in the port i got charge.... the new battery was a 0% and its charging now so here's hoping
