I need to Unlock the sn on my pro
 

i need some help on this i got a pro from a friend and he owes money to the sprint now is it possible to unlock the phone and switch it to my account on sprint i have the htc touch on the account. any ideas is this can be done??

From personal experience with this, I got a phone from a friend, cause he switch to AT&T to get the iPhone, and I could not activate it until he canceled his account or activated a different phone with them. So I bought the cheapest sprint phone and had him put it on the account so i could activate it, other wise it is a Bad ESN and sprint could think it is stolen or charge you the $150 to cancle the account. I dont know if the activating another phone thing works anymore but it did a year ago.

what do you mean by unlock it? also it isnt possible if he owes money on the account with that device since they have the esn blacklisted at that point.... you could try adding a different cheap sprint phone to the account but realize that wil be blacklisted too if he doesnt pay....... its worth a shot to get an old crap phone and at least try though.

so i would have to grab his account and switch it with any old phone or u think i could go to sprint and see if they can switch it with my phone???

Since the phone you have right now is linked to his Sprint account and he either owes money on it or does not use it the ESN is still linked to it. Therefore the phone is still active and is consider a BAD ESN and it cannot be added to another account.

What should work is if he gets an cheap Sprint phone that has a clean ESN and does a phone swap with the phone you want, the phone you want will then have a Clean ESN and can be activated by you.

However, if he owes money on his account that he has not paid for a while and tries to do a phone swap they will not do it. If that is the case he would have to either pay the money he owes, then do a phone swap, or cancel his account.
