[ ISSUE SOLVED ] hmm can someone let me know

I tried searching but didnt come up with what I was looking for. I really havent had time to sit down and go over flashing and unlocking and so on. My question is everytime I slide out the keyboard the landscape menu comes up. Ok I press messages and the slide bar to the right comes up and the time (top right corner) pops up then just closes back down. I hit message again and everything worls fine and it does it everytime.
Im shure a reflash would fix this but again I have very little time to play with and not know jack about ppc doesnt help any.

i would try a soft reset and if that doesnt fix it you may have to go and do a hard reset which will bring your device back to factory settings.

So this means a back up file needs to be created as everything will be lost (hard reset), Ive tried the soft already. If this is the case I will just have to find the time to play with this thing. I ran across a post on ppcgeeks that was like a glosary of terms but cant seem to find it, if anyone could help a brother out Id be greatful. Dash my friend you have a pm

just download PIMbackup. that will save all your texts, calls, and emails, into your sdcard. also SASHIMI will make flashing a breeze.

Soft reset did it job thanks. I went ahead and downloaded pimbackup as I want to flash this thing in the future. I also found sashimi and it looks like it also will backup contacts and such. So is there a need for both or just use sashimi?
Sorry for the noob questions.

I say yes, as I use both... pim back up for basic stuff like appts, tasks, contacts, messages, and sashimi for cabs, apps, regiration info, registry settings owner info and xml files, like your email seu up info...

then when i hard reset for flash I run sashimi 1st the pim backup, only b/c sashimi will set up my accounts and such for email, and thenn pim back up will restore all the different saved messages I have in that account
