HTC Diamond stop working after ruining unlocker please help
 

I installed unlocker from ppcgeeks reason was to change my ROM because I have it in Swedish Language and I wanted it in English....after clicking the unlocker file it asked me something in my mobile screen I could not understand because it was in Swedish I clicked yes and after it mobile went off and now it is not turning on please help me guys....

why would you click on something not sure what it means....dont know what to tell ya...maybe someone here can help or go back to ppcgeeks since you got the program from there.

one friend said that maybe phone suddenly locked...is it possible that a mobile fully become useless I mean shut down....

not really and i would attempt to perform a hard reset on your device and see what that does for you...... trhat should restore it back to default settings without any troubles..... let me know.

Nothing happened even with hard reset..phone is totally dead, even pluging charger is not showing anything in screen.

Okay... are u sure u performed a hard reset, or just a soft reset?

to hard reset, while phone is off (shouldnt be a problem b/c it sounds like ur phone is off anywayz)... hold down center/okay button and volume down button together...now while holding those two... press and hold the power button...continue holding all three until, a warning appears onscreen and then press volume up button

could be that the digitizeraka the screen went or something.... i cant see a popup coming up before and giving you the option to brick the device....... have you tried following the flashing guide and flash from a card and see if that can bring your device back from the tales of the crypt?

nothing happened..........when I tried unlocker to install that was first time I attached my phone to my laptop...is it possible that usb screwed my battery?

never heard of that... try power cycling... pull battery... wait fifteen minutes, and the pop it back in and soft reset

yup try the power cycle and also without the battery plug the phone in and see if anything lights up....

Can you get into bootloader mode? And also, after following th instructions crazay gave you for a hard reset, what did you see on the screen? Did anything come up?

after power cycling, and a proper hard reset... still not workking? I hate to say it, but ur final option may be to just take her in for a swap or a repeair... truthfully a hard reset shouldve cleard any software issue, after that its a hardward issue, and not to much more u can do

any other thoughts ppl?

No....no reboot screen..and after total reseting like he told me nothing appeared...it is totally dead

No what I am asking is did anything appear when you did the button presses he told you to do. There should have been a gray screen with blue writing that came up saying to perform a reset push the volume up key. Did that screen come up?

as stated earlier, these are instruction on proper hard reset

the quote above is what supes is refering to... if you didnt get that warning message, you didnt do and actual hard reset

Ok, and your absolutely positive that your did the key presses correctly? Also try holding the power, volume up, and the soft reset button for 5 seconds then release. Tell me if that gets you into any screen.

that your phone is toast and that you hopefully have insurance and if so to bring it in and get it repaired or replaced.

I bought it from a friend and I have no receipt and no documents...but written on backside is 08/05/14 so it is maybe expiry date but I thing I can't go for warranty cause I don't have any documents
BUT THE ONLY HOPE IS THAT MAYBE IT IS BATTERY AND I CAN ONLY CHECK IT TOMORROW TO FIND OUT IF SOMEBODY HAVE THIS MOBILE AND I CAN CHECK WITH REPLACEMENT OF BATTERY

How long ago did you put it on your plan. If your with sprint, you can add the phone to an insurance plan within 30 days of activation.

that's my bad luck that I just received it today, and today was my first day with it....Ahhh I miss the moments I saw its screen and sound....never spend my own money for this much expensive thing...cause I'm a student...I'm so much sad so much

Ok, did you activate it today? If you did, just call sprint and add it to an insurance plan. Then wait a couple days for it to kick in and go to a repair center and boom! New phone for you.

the main reason of installing new rom was language which is Swedish, so I am siting in Sweden and I bought it from Swede friend

OK.....you can still call your carrier and add it to an insurance plan. If you just activated the phone today, they should have no problem adding insurance for you.

Im sorry bro, I know ur reaching, but your grasping at straws, its not the unlocker, we've all used some multiple times w/o having certian issues, so unless u used a gsm unlocker from another site on a cdma device, or a cdma unlocker on a gsm device, this shouldnt have happened, and even still a proper hard reset wouldve cleard that up... so the fact that its not cuttin on at all and u insist u dd a proper hard reset... ur device is pretty much done for...IMO... if u cant activate the insurance for it to take it in, or pay for a repair... u may be better off tryna sell it for spare parts... and then gettin a replacement.... Im sorry to be so blunt... bear in mind, this is just my OPINION...

yours would be gsm phone as you mentioned it was running a wwe rom and that it was Swedish

I think you used the wrong unlocker and bricked your phone.

hi dont you have box or specs when you buy this do you have sim card? then its gsm if not you are cdma you thit no research before you buy this from seller or ebay

and another HUGE difference from GSM and CDMA is that GSM require a SIM card as apart from CDMA does not... (the SIM card is a small chip that goes on the back of your phone under your battery)....just trying to be as specific as possible :)

it should still be fixable if he runs the unlocker or even just tries to unlock right over it with the correct unlocker for the bootloader aka hardspl.

Thats the problem though, he is saying he cant even get the phone on. No power at all, no bootloader, nothing. Not even a HR from phone off. Its weird, or he is not doing it properly.

Absolutely right that my phone is not giving me a sign of life, totally dead. But I have tried everything you guys been saying.
