Blank TP screen
 

Hey,

I got the TP about 3 and half weeks go. It was working fine for a week or so, a friend of mine suggested loading the rom Juggalo. After loading the rom it worked fine for about a week. After that time the phone started to lose it's "calibration" (for lack of a better term). At times the top would be at the bottem, drop down windows would be cut in half, scrolling pages would jump sideways once in a while. Well about the time that i was going to reset it back to the sprint rom the whole screen went out (blanked completely). The back light and the buttons would light up but you couldn't see anything. The phone was still working underneath (receive calls and hear when a message came in), just couldn't see anything that was going on. Well I swapped out the phone today, and I was considering reloading the Juggalo rom but i'm worried if that was what caused my issue. Or if I just had bad luck and got a lemon in the batch, sort of speak. Or if there is/was something I need to load to help prevent it from happening when using that rom?? I doubt that was caused by a rom; however I may be wrong. There are a lot of roms out there and many people loading them onto their phones, if multiple people started sayin that they were messin up their screens and such we would have fixed it already :P Without seeing the issues its kinda hard to say for sure that it wasnt the rom but I think you're good loading another rom on there...doesnt have to be jugalos; could be whichever you want

sounds just like a bad device since i and many others have tried juggs roms without any troubles and i believe your the first to report that issue.

I ran in to the same thing on my 6900 it was the phone!!! Had to have the thing replaced. That rom was the best rom out for a long time..
Just don't forget to do a back-up before replacing like i did .....lol

the phone u had previously was savable...u just needed to manual bootload it and reflash the rom....and second,,,juggalo roms are great but heavily outdated...u could have had apps or programs conflicting or something else to that nature...make sure phone is unlocked and ready before flashing....take a look at all the rom specs..(apps/programs/batterylife/ect) and decide which on is best for u...

I had unlocked the phone and followed all the steps to the *dot*. and the reason i went to juggs is cause a friend of mine has it and loves it. before the screen died on me completely i even tried reflashing it again with juggs in hopes of correcting an issue. i was about to reflash it back to the sprint rom when the screen did it's final good bye to me. i know you guys usually say "pick the rom that works best for you" (same time of theme i go with when talking about technology with people), but what are some of the newest ones that people have had some great reviews about. i wouldn't mind seeing what else is out there. thanks.

your can try ATR 3.0.....we made two different versions for the TP....one has regular manilla and the other has rhodium manila....i highly suggest the tf3d2 rom...it runns great with very minal bugs due to the ported manilla

Thats exactly what happened to my TP. Every single point you mentioned happen on mine too and the screen went out. I took it to a sprint store and they replaced the whole screen section with a brand new one.

so just take it in for service. Only took about an hour for them to fix it.
