Having a big problem with my mogul
 

whenever i slide it out to go into landscape mode the screen has lines all thru it. like the screen is missing parts of it or something. i tried a soft reset first. didnt fix it. then i tried a hard reset. that didnt fix it. then i even re flashed it. still same problem. is it a hardware issue. i dont have insurance on it, but im thinking if its the keyboards problem, it shouldnt matter. i didnt get it wet either or drop it. it only happens when i slide it out. could there be wires being messed up when i slide? the lines dont show up if i go in there and manually rotate the screen, so im thinking its the keyboard thats messed up.

Sounds like a hardware issue bro add insurance today then go to ur carrier and ask them to look at it when they know it cant be fixed they might give u a touch pro

im trying to add the insurance online but idk if its possible. first major problem ive had in like 8 months. does the touch pro have wifi?

Just call sprint bro if u cant do it online the best thing is for u to get insurance now then wait a couple days and take it in and yea touch pro has wifi

Ok first and foremost, have you tried Stock ROM and do you encounter the same issue on Stock ROM? If you encounter the same issue on Stock ROM then you have a hardware issue..Also, Sprint is allowing all customers to add insurance to their accounts if they dont have them attached already ... THIS IS ONLY FOR THE MONTH OF MAY! You can call in and add it with no issues and i wouldnt recommend doing it online.

no im about to try the stock rom but cant find the titan relocker anywhere on here? does anyone know where it is? i found one link but it doesnt work.

and i have alltel not sprint. thanks for all the replies

Means its the Stock ROM with out the relocker in it. You do not need to relock your phone. If your phone is unlocked, just dl the DUMP ROM and flash it. You will only need to relock if you bring it in to the store for repair or exchange

ok thanks. yeah i was just gonna relock it and take it in to alltel tomorrow. but idk if i should without the insurance. before when a keyboard went out, they replaced the phone when i didnt have insurance

you may do what you would like.. were are just telling you the steps to troubleshoot the device so you dont have to go in to store or get a replacement... Also, when your keyboard went out, it was probably under manufacturer warranty so it was a free replacement. warranty is probably up by now on your mogul

yeah thanks for all the help. i cant get insurance online so im going to have to go in there tomorrow to get the insurance. or call maybe.

im not trying to be mean. so what happens if it is still messed up after the flash to the dumped rom? then its off to alltel? but if its not doing it anymore then its fixed?

you arent being mean.. please dont take it personally, you posted a thread and stated the issue and we are just providing you with advise. your choice. now your problem isnt occurring anymore? is it working?? maybe you needed are soft reset? to answer your question, if its still messed up after you flash to the dump ROM with the same issue, then you have a hardware problem.

now the phone wont even recognize an sd card. so im gonna have to wait till i get home and can get plugged in..........

then you know what to do... sounds like u got a problem with the ROM unless now the SD cards port is now bad and that would make it another hardware issue.

no i havent got it back to stock yet, sorry i know its hard to follow. my laptop died, i was trying to use the sd card method cause i didnt have a cord. i tried the rom Big Jew posted and it wouldnt load for some reason.

im back on my laptop now. but it wont load the most recent alltel stock rom. i just loaded the one big jew posted, but if i have to bring it in to alltel tomorrow im going to need the locked version. ive searched but i cant find an .nbh file for it. is it on here? its the one that enabled gps. i cant find it

i wonder why the new alltel rom RUU.exe wont work. it just tells me my phone cant use this RUU, its very weird.

ok so i extracted the files from the exe file and got the nbh file, used the RUU ive been using to try and flash it again and i finally got the alltel version flashed...except there were two nbh's so i chose the biggest file. do i still need to lock the phone? or did it automatically do that?

ok you lost me with 10 straight posts or something....... but you finally got the stock on there ansd still not working? you jump all over the place and i dont understand you 3/4 of the time... take a breathe and give more details when describing and i will be able to help you more but seriosly you jump all over the place.

sorry dash i was kinda panicing lol. so here goes. my phone started to mess up when i slid it open, then the keyboard started to not work. So i tried re flashing the kaos take 3 hybrid again, and again, still it didnt fix the problem. So i flashed to a different one. the take 5. still nothing. Big jew posted a rom up on this thread as the alltel rom with no locker in it, so i flashed to that one finally(it would barely work). once i flashed to that one, the phone wouldnt even get past the boot screen with that one. Then i wanted to just flash to the newest alltel rom with the gps activated, so i went and found the .exe file with the built in RUU from HTC's website. when i tried running that file it said that RUU wasnt for my device..which it was. So i finally extracted the files from the exe with winrar and found the .nbh file they used in the .exe and put that on the sd, but that method of flashing didnt work. So i put that .nbh file into the RUU i already have to use with other roms. and that finally worked. idk if it is locked now, but oh well.

i went to Alltel this morning and they are sending me a refurbished mogul and i have to send mine away. so my last and final question is is there a way to tell if my phone is locked again?

oh and the screen finally gave out. the phone starts up but the screen doesnt know up.

again..sorry about the confusion, hopefully that was clearer.

ok do this... place your phone into manual bootloader and tell me what it says in the top left corner of the phone....

to place your phone into manual bootloader you have to press and hold the power and camera buttons while soft resetting.

yeah i knew how to get to the bootloader. but i was asking how do i get off it after its on...but my screen doesnt show up.....................wait..it did this time..

you use the titan relocker tool to relock your phone and no it is still unlocked..... and to get out of it you just soft reset.

i havent read the thread, but dont you have insurance? if so just get a new one. never mind i see you dont. well, just add it to your plan bro, and then you can upgrade to the touch also. with htc phones is always good to have insurance.

yeah i will have insurance. but my phones still under warranty so they are just sending me another one. alltel is dumb that way

by law you can do what you like... if they already issued you a replacement and its on the way to you, just send it back unlocked... its no biggie. glad to see you got a resolution to your issue. lets us know when we can close this thread

yeah and on top of that most of the people there odnt even know the difference or pay attention to every phone to see what version of bootloader they have on them.

got the phone today in the mail. refurbished....and already noticing problems with it. it likes to restart itself. Error came up saying device.exe had some kind of problem..which sounds very important. then sometimes it doesnt come out of sleep when i press the button. so its going back to alltel tomorrow...ugh

if i were you I'd keep "finding" problems till you get the touch pro...its a way better phone and doesn't have any of the issues that I had with my old moguls
