Mogul screen does not show
 

Hey everybody, i have problem with my mogul. For a couple days now i hould have problem turning my mogul from sleep to on. Sometimes it would just turn back on fine other times i would hit the power button you can tell the screen is on but you can not see anything. The back light is on all the way so its not an issue of the screen being too dim. Now this morning i went to turn the phone on and nothing i cant even see the beginning ROM screen. So can anybody help me with a solution, i will be very grateful!

is the phone still on and operating evwn though you cant see the screen? like can you make a call using the keyboard? does it accept calls? is the red light stuck on?

same thing happened to my mogul. had to get them to send me another one. couldnt find a way to fix it.

I haven't tried to see if it still operates. But the red light does not get stuck on, there is actually no ready light at all so i do not believe it is bricked.

Hmmm reallly? Ill take it to the repair store this weekend and get them to take a look at it. Did you have to pay anything for the one they sent you?

no i didnt pay anything. dont have insurance either. phone was still under warranty so they just sent me a new one...refurbished one though and its messed up too...so they are sending me another one

Ha good deal, ill see if i can get refurbished TP or maybe just a diamond out of it!

dont settle for the diamond or a refuurbed pro hahahah most of the time they will just give you a new one since there isnt enough refurbs to keep the ones going bad so almost always get new :)

Alright man thanks for the advice! I took the phone to the repair center and the lady told me it was because of my memory on the device was so low. So i picked up a nice 4gig micro sd card at target for about 20 bucks instead of 34 at a sprint store(RIPOFF!) and i got home deleted my programs and moved pics and videos over to the storeage card with some apps. Seem to work then put the phone to sleep and hit the button to turn it back on and what do you know it doesn't show in portrait mode still, but it is showing in landscape. So i guess ill head back up there monday or something since theyre not open on Sundays. What do you guys think about this?

Hey guys i have something else to say! We'll the phone hasn't gotten any better since the memory issue, ive cleared the memory like i said and the phone is still acting up. Unluckily i did not have TEP but what do you know with my luck May is TEP open enrollment month!!!! =D. So i have added that to my bill. Now having this insurance plan how much stuff can i do with it? And from what ive seen i can get a another phone with this insurance, will they just replace my mogul with another or will i get a TP or Diamond since the mogul is out of circulation.

you will probably get the touch pro unless they happen to hasve some mogul in stock which would be a rarity at this point in time.

mogul gave me plenty of problems also.... my screen blacked out today and i couldnt get it back on.... had to do a hard reset... pretty bitter about losing all my contacts.... i think its time to see if i can get a touch pro out of it... this phones a pain... my keyboard also does not register all my inputs anymore lol

you could try and go to the self service solutions page and do it online..... and you dont back your contacts up? takes seconds to do and many different tools to do so.

yeah i did back it up a little while ago... but then i did a reinstall of windows on my comp and didnt back it up since... also made a trip to cali and met up with old friends which i got numbers from, to bad phone crapped out when i landed lol.... i did make a printout of all the numbers, finding it would be the hard part tho....

hahahah thats why you should use something online with someone elses server as a backup... i use google and it auto syncs all of my contacts automatically after reflash or hard reset when i set up the email account... many of the custom roms also have microsoft myphone which also will do that and many other things as well as pimbackup, dashwire, etc...... just soooo many of them out there now. the ones mentioned above are the most common aroudn the ppcworld and are all freewares.

haha dam!!! i was wondering if there was a program like that somewhere... just never bothered looking... kudos man i got much to learn here, i see there are tons more apps for WM now!
