Help with an htc xv6900

So I have been searching and searching and didn't find an answer, I hope I'm not blind :P So I just got my new htc xv6900 with Verizon Wireless. So far I love it and have only a few minor annoyances. My biggest right now probably sounds stupid but here it goes. Is there a way to edit or remove a category in the contacts? I misspelled one and a few I just don't need. If anyone knows how or if I just cant all all please let me know. Also, I am not all that interested in flashing a new rom since I just got it today. I am still trying to learn all the inner workings and I am afraid I will mess something all up.

Flashing roms never mess things up they only make phones run wayyyyy faster and smoother.. u might not think so now but in time u will come to see u waited how ever long for nothing. as far as deleting a contact go to ur contacts ckick on the one u dont want and go to menu/delete contact..

also u might want to download a contact mam=nager so u dont delete all ur contacts and spend time typing them all back in, do a search for PIM BACKUP v2.7 and ull thank me

Ok, I know how to delete a contact, I was asking how to delete or edit a CATEGORY. Also, will flashing a new rom to my phone void my warranty. I dont want to void a brand new phone with a 12 month warranty as soon as I get it. That and being afraid of doing it wrong is why I didnt want to do it.

You can always re-flash the stock rom, so they would be none the wiser. Thats what any of us do if we have to take the phone back for any warranty reason.

Supes is absolutly right, but as ur new to the scene, and still learning, id suggest u take ur time... use ur device as is for a while before reflashing, so u can get used to it, and how it works etc... get familiar w/ the site and learn all u need to know about ur new device and flashin b4 u do... this way, when u do flash ull be more comfortable, and youll really be able to understand the difference between a stock rom and custom rom...

as far as deleting a category... its pretty much the same process u took to make it, but in the menu should be and option to delete (and even edit) a category as opposed creating a new one...
