Wifi When Possible (Noob Question)
 

I have the Touch Pro, and my data plan is only 500 megs. So I would like to use wifi whenever possible.

there are 3 places I spend most of my day, my house, my parents house, and work. All 3 places have wifi, so I would like to use wifi to download my e-mails etc..

Then use my data connection whenever im not in one of those 3 places.


My problem is:
I am connected to wifi, it shows the signal strength etc, but when I download weather info, or go on the internet the data icon shows up on the top of my phone...

So am I using wifi, or my carrier?

even if you are going off of wifi it will still use data doesnt matter... anytime you log onto the net or download an email you are using kb through your plan..... wifi will just give you wifi speeds.
