i know the palm pre is the highlight today but is the HTC snap still being released tomorrow and any news on the htc touch pro2 release.. besides 3rd quarter. . anymore specifics?

EDIT: The HTC SNAP is being released by the end of this month...As a matter of fact.. I think best buy mobile online has the SNAP available exclusively through them..... As for the TP2, there is no official DATE on it as of yet, but it will be released by the end of this year. NOW :focus:

Best Buy is already selling the HTC SNAP...I wasatmy local best buy today to check out the palm pre and pick up some other stuff and I saw the snap...they took it out and I played with it alittle...basic windows mobile smartphones....it had a 2.0 megapixel I took pics of it with my iphone and I will post it up for u later! They were sellind it for $149.99 for a a 2yr upgrade and the 12-23 months upgrade price was $349.99 and the full price was like $515 or $550, can't remember that part...and I forgot new price I think it might have been same as full upgrade price!

kinda like a better version of the moto q. i don't think i could ever go back to a smartphone from ppc or a non-touch screen. it does look good thou.

My local sprint hear in saint louis had about 50 people in line, im pretty sure half of them did not get one since the phone was really low on availability/

I got to get one saturday morning I was the 4 person in line i got there at 7.45 when it opened at 8.00 there were about 25 people in line they had about 70 in stock. I am pretty sure I will return it in about a week or 2 if no updates are made. I have droped about 10 calls in all. I came from a touch pro. I got way better service with the pro, the pre signal is way to jumpy.

i went to pay my 2 overdue bills 2day :lol: and got to play with the pre...

keyboard is a little cramped IMO which was basically the only slight downside to it, but i guess there is a learning curve to it to be able to use it effectively. no biggie

overall i loved it, the screen and animations as well as design of the OS is amazing. the web browser kicks ass and simple things like contact manager, launcher menus, calendar, mp3 player, and pics and vids are the best i have seen on a OS without third party support which is basically why i get fed up with WinMo a lot

Come (**insert close by date HERE**) Im getting it fosho. I just hope the 3rd party development kicks off already cuz i want to see some apps for this

EDIT: PPCGEEKS opened a Pre section so i an even more eager for it cuz there will be proper support there woohoo!! (wheres ours?? hint hint....)

I was the first to be in line on saturday. Got to the sprint store @ 4 a.m. And there was no one there. It was 7 and only one other person there I thought that was going to it. Then like at 7:30 all of a sudden peoplepeople started showing up in bunches by 8 there was like 30 people in line. When I left some people were still arriving so I doubt everyone got one.

I just don't think I can get rid of my pro for the Pre. I've been using the pre along with my Pro for lil over a month now I still have it right now, but it all depends on the hacking capabilities. I think I will wait for TP2. The Pre is cool and very sexy and I do like it a lot, but it's very limited compared to Winmo. You can't even create word docs or edit them at all, only can view em. Shit like that I'm not to fond of. I love the os, and how you can customize the phone menu and launch bar etc, the speaker kicks ass, synergy kicks ass, but no windows..idk. What I don't get is it seems to be based off windows Lineux os and when you hook it to pc you have all your folders there, but I guess I'm still deciding. I still might sell mine. Gonna use for another month or so and then decide. TP2 is looking really sweet though! I'm in NE FL, and I'm not out of Pre's yet. I've been pulling em from other stores that haven't sold out. I have sold out 4 times, but just got some more today and have a few left of those still. I'm sure they will be gone tom. If anyone in NE Fl needs one, let me know or send me a pm I will hold for u and give you directions!

My story is identical. I drove around most of the night cruising the different sprint stores in the area (we have a good amount around these parts). I settled on the mall since that is the only store that told me definitively that they would open their doors at 8. Walked into the mall around 6:30 and it was a ghost town until I got to the Sprint store where 9 people were already there waiting. By the time sprint opened their doors to us, there were about 40 people behind me in the desolate mall. It was just Pre buyers and "Mall Walkers". Everyone in the line was very cordial and nice...well, at least the early risers. The people who showed up to the line that was now noticeably long were a little jumpy at the thought they might not be able to get the phone which I understand. I spent 10 minutes with the Pre and knew it was a winner. As far as I'm concerned Sprint and Palm really hit it outta the park with this little guy. Palm has really outdone themselves with this creation and they picked the right horse in Sprint, not just because I'm with Sprint, but those everything plans really are affordable and worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. And in my area Sprint is king when it comes to service reliability.

I know a lot of people are happy with the pre. I played with the pre and for me personally, I don't like it. The key board is way too small for my meat hooks. But the UI is pretty nice.

this phone is sick. screen is Way better then the TP. i like that there is no cluter on the home screen but yet everything is easy to get to.
