i have been installing programs on my htc touch diamond and i have a question. i was wondering why when i install a program on my internal sotrage it is still takin memory from my device and not my internal storage any help would be appreiciated

You sure you are looking at it right , even though you install in internal storage still gonna run on the device memory. Your internal storage is just like a SDcard buillt into you phone not made to run the apps just store them.

ya but when i go into settings/memory under storage it says total 90.80 inuse 88.7 free 2.11 that is for device memory how come when i instal a program on my internal storage the device memory goes down im kinda confused

Cause the program runs on the Device memory not the storage. An from the sounds of it your are still on a stock rom ? If you flash to a custom rom you will have a lot more free space to install apps.

i want to flash a custom rom but i am scared to do it caz im afraid i will mess my phone up and i wont be able to get it replaced if i do install a custom rom maybe you can help me out with installing a custom rom taht will give me alot of free room to install apps

do you have aim so it will be easier to chat on taht

what would be a good custom rom with alot of program storage space cause i like to have alot of games on my phone

and is there a custom rom with android built into it (just curious)

youlll just have to search for the custom rom of your prefrence.... and no, no custom rom w/ android built into it yet, as android is fully completed for pro and diamond yet...

u will find that flashing is easy, just follow directions and once u do it u will be hooked........

it seems easy i read the walkthrough im just scared taht im gonna mess my phone up and i wont be able to get it replaced and with my diamond is there anything else extra i need todo besides the steps taht are listed

you will be fine and dont be scared... all feel the same way but you would have to go agaist the whole list and you still may not brick the device..... theres always the chance but if you have TEP you will be covered since if it bricks they cant prove you flashed :)

ok thank you man im gonna go about doin it can you recommend the best custom rom out there that has alot of program storage room that would be greatly appreciated
