question about switching phones
 

ok instead of replacing my screen or housing im just goin to do it through my insurance with sprint but the problem is well not really a problem but they want to send me a sprint diamond instead of the touch! i honestly never held the diamond and or know to much about it, is it better then the touch? also im a bit worried because i see the diamond is vga and all my apps are qvga

have you looked around the boards and at the stats on the diamond? way better than the vogue and many apps come in vga and are starting to be made for jsut vga resolutions..... i would make the jump but most likely atm you are going to get a vogue since they still have them in stock through asurion...

ok thanks for the info dash im just worried im gonna lose my mojo wit the diamond lol i hope its not 2 different 2 mod!!! actually asurion has no touches only diamonds for the moment, i been checking every so days so see if they have touches but only diamonds, i think i am going to make the switch, but damn i wouldnt be able to use NFSFANs WM65 ROM v12 Build 21812 (Vogue) with the diamond would i?

no wouldnt work but there are many good roms out for the diamond like mystery, mighty, etc and really? they giving diamonds now?

oh ok thanks and yeah man trust me im been trying to get the touch and i been holding off until they get the touch lol but i think i might have 2 get the diamond, is it much bigger then touch?

naw not really it feels better in the hand the the screen is soooo crystal clear.. .you are going to be like wtf when you see it and think on why you would ever want the vogue over this hahaha

Got my Diamond 2day! fresh in box everythin included i have yet to open it tho, righ now im sorting out all my apps that i now need to get in VGA version... any1 need a replacement nows the time incase u want a diamond lol

yeah but forsome reason the good guys @ sprint said they would cover it, they attached a email to my invoice or something lol. I havent opened it cuz im still trying to switch my brain from qvga to VGA, im having trouble finding the unlocker so i can go stright 2 a custom rom with wm6.5..righ now im lookin @ all my apps hopefully some work , lots of work, might wait till after the 4th of july weekend to mess wit it

Lol thats the way to do it bro put them in folders on ur desktop for instance

-themes
-apps
-games
-roms

Then when your ready you know what folder is for what,oh make sure you delete that ugly phone model in ur profile 2 diamond lol

i work for radioshack and i got to talk about my phone and show off all the new things about my mods... and .cabs and stuff... then she told me she saw the phone before but never like that... she said a friend of hers could switch my vogue out for the real deal the diamond.... and so i went in today... and dude like nothing he said... you don't pay nothing...

YOU GET THE DIAMOND ON FRIDAY OR MONDAY Next week....

So i'm freaking excited...

as always u guys are always right, and hell yeh its worth it, i expected a bigger bolkier phone, was not the case @ all, phone is slim and sleek even fits in my touch pounch which came with the touch, iim not mad @ all at the change!! just still sortin out apps and gettin VGA versions, do u kno which is the best most powerful custom rom for da diamond? wm6.5 included

haven't really messed with any but you should try flashing and trying them out... i would go with mystery cause i like it... but certain stuff in that rom i want different so i'm going with the groove for right now... but i get my phone next week so don't believe exactly wat i say... lol..

sorry for so many post back to back i am learning as i am goin, so i see there is no slot to put my old 4gb in, this kinda changes the game lol how do i go about pulling pix from old memory card and puttin in diamond? as far as saving apps and all of that im guessing everythin is saved to the phone now?

Theres no slot in the diamond hmm thats weird didnt know that bro and ur trying to get ur pics that aare on the sd card to ur new phone right?

1.connect usb
2.choose disk drive from screen of phone
3. navigate to photos and drag and drop from the storage card

the diamond does not have an sdcard slot, you have to transfer everything through your laptop/CP, thats probably the only thing i dont like about the diamond......... but just copy the contents of your card to the phone using your CP, and put it in internal memory.

got it working! already wow im so impressed wit this phone i didnt kno it had that sensor thingy i was tryin 2 flip a phone and and couldnt then flipped the phone and wow lol what else dont i kno about lol ?
