This is the HTC IME from the new Hero device. The HTC IME is worlds better than the 1.5 default keyboard, and works SIGNIFICANTLY better than BetterKeyboard 1.8, which is what I used before this. Like it or leave it.

This is a great keyboard (came with my HERO on Sprint side). I haven't run into any problems. I think HTC stepped it up big time with providing the HERO many apps/features that was lacking in previous versions of Android. They did what they always seem to do and that's provide a better experience than the one initially given by the OS. Just my thoughts ;)

I might give it a shot, to see how it performs on Android side, but I didn't use it on WM side, because I used FingerKeyboard, which was fantastic if not using HWare Keyboard. I was holding off with messing with it, but if you think it's better than what HTC has provided, then I might try :)

hi from what i hear and read on forums better keyboard is the best to use

Actually Better Keyboard used to be the "Better KeyBoard" lol
On the reals, it was, but HTC came out with their version on the HERO and it's actually better IMHO.
BK doesn't really do anything better than HTC's I feel, but it does take up more storage space :) The original HERO didn't have a great keyboard, so it was a great replacement for that. Thanks for the view CW.
