PdaNet (Android)

PdaNet turns your Android-powered phone into a wireless modem. Unlike other tethering software that only supports Proxy connections, PdaNet provides you with FULL Internet access so all your email, instant message programs will work without any setting changes. It is as simple as clicking on the PdaNet tray icon and your computer will go online instantly.

PdaNet does NOT require root access or hacking your phone's firmware in order to work. It is just a regular Android application that works on Android phones as-is. Currently PdaNet supports USB tethering on all Android OS's and devices. Tethering is fast, secure and will also charge your phone at the same time. Your phone can either connect to 3G data or WiFi, even through VPN and PdaNet will share the connection with

i dont think that new version posted is for 64 bit ... says windows 7, XP and vista ... when installing

I was in the middle of install when I saw that an aborted.. I know on their site they have a specific version for 64 bit .. Being that it has to be installed in a different windows folder

you can still can try since theres no difference in the instal menu except the new one supports windows 7

i tried installing and i get a popup error stating that i need the 64bit version... so everyone else please note that this version is not for vista 64bit

not following what u are saying...

the latest version posted is not for windows 64 bit ... on the developers site they have a separate install file for windows 64 bit

Just go use the WiFi Tether app and that should resolve your situation. Good Luck.

if i am following correctly the device needs to be ROOTed for the app u suggested to work ... so that aint good for the HERO .. since the hackers havent gotten around yet to this new device

Running Accesslaw Software in 32 bit Compatibility Mode under Vista 64

1. Make sure your software is in your disc drive (cancel the autoplay feature if it pops up)
2. Click your start button, on the right hand side click Computer
3. Right click your disc drive and click Explore
4. Browse to the setup files
CalDVD: double click SETUP, setuphd for hard drive install, setup for running off disc
CalDisc: Double click SETUP, setup
5. Right click the appropriate setup file, click Properties, click the Compatibility Tab
6. Click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
7. Click OK
8. Double click the setup file, click Allow, and continue regular installation

AFTER INSTALL

1. Click your start button, click Computer
2. Double click your Installation Drive (Usually C Drive), Double click Program Files (x86)
3. Double click your software folder (CalDVD, CalDisc)
4. Right click Views, click properties, click the Compatibility tab, Click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Windows XP (Service Pack 2), click ok.
5. Close any open windows.

The software should now run without issue.
