[ ISSUE SOLVED ] custom rom help/ cant send and receive pictures
 

ok ive had a custom rom from this website for quite a while now. and i havent been able to send or receive pictures on my phone. For a while i t hought it was just my service that was messed up. but then the other day i put the stock rom back on my phone just to test it out. and i could send and receive pictures no problem. now i absolutely hate running my stock rom. cuz the roms on this website are so much better. so i was wondering if i could get some help on how to use a custom rom and still be able to send and receive pictures.

i have the htc touch diamond and i have alltel as my carrier

go to the section where you downloaded the rom from maybe in that section someone had the same issue as u and it was resolved.It maybe a server issue or old app.

you have to install the alltel arcsoft cab for picture mail to work.

ok dash thanks for the help. i knew i could count on you buddy. anyways ive searched for the alltel arcsoft cab on this site and couldnt find it. i found one that u posted. its the Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.7 will that one make my picture sharing work. or do i need a different one? if you could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated. or if you could maybe post a link to the one i need here that would be great too

hey dash buddy, i installed that cab.....and when i try to send a pic it keeps telling me delivery failure / receipt failure

did you soft reset after install and are you in a good signal area?

yes i did the soft reset, and i have pretty much full signal. do u think it might be the rom? i just flashed juicy 8 on it

ok its not the rom, i just flashed a different rom on it. and i get the same problem. any ideas??? i really dont wanna go back to the stock rom just so i can send and receive pictures

you installed the sprint arcsoft cab correct? cause if you did you should have no troubles and one hasnt been reported for months with it.... did you also take a look at this thread?

and in the future please do a search all i searched for here was picture mail and this was the 3rd option on the first page of the results.

yes i installed the cab and its still not working. and yes i did a search for "arcsoft" and the only 1 there that said it should work from my phone does not work either. i downloaded and installed the one you posted here and all it says is delivery failure / receipt failure. then it asks if i wanna try again now, or try later. ive dont it both ways and it still does not send anything. i also looked at the thread you posted. that thread says its for sprint picture mail. i have alltel. or will that also work for my alltel touch diamond???

i am by no means an Alltell expert, but reading through your post. Is your ROM (Juicy 8) specifically cooked for AllTell? If not, Have you installed the Alltell Carrier Cab? If you have not installed that, (and your ROM is not specially cooked for AllTell) none of your data connections will work...Voice and SMS only.....I dont have the thread handy but check over at PPC and HOFO........dollars to donuts (and God only knows that i love donuts!) you are missing your carrier cab.....I think that someone has recently posted DCD carrier cabs (within the last day or so I saw it)......you can also Google it and you should find it.....

ok i installed the alltel carrier cab, and its still not letting me send the pics...... everytime i try to send. it comes up with a notification saying message delivery failed or message receipt faled

ok guys i got it working now. for some reason the arcsoft cab that dash posted for me wouldnt work with my phone. i found one on the internet called Arcsoft Alltel MMS 5.0.69.44 and now everything it working. i just wanna thank everybody for all their help. i really appreciate it. sorry dash if you were getting frustrated with me. but when it comes to my cell phone and my computers.....i swear im OCD. i literally can not sleep if i know there is something wrong with either of them. but i love this website. keep up the good work guys. you will always have my support
