Already tested on my touch pro works fine.

I'm not sure if the version you posted is VGA or not but I got mine from here
Code:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4170499#post4170499
And the .cab attached is edited to create a shortcut in the Programs folder.

Re: [APP] HTC Wifi Internet Sharing

Temp Placeholder Q & A

Q: In running the app there's a possible resizing issue since you can't flick or otherwise use the DPad to go down. Regardless, you can still connect but my PC and another phone did not find the network that was supposed to be available when shared.[/QUOTE]

A: Don't Flick scroll Just press hold ad the heig of hwere your Provider connecction is mentioned and scroll a little bit up to get the rest of the menu.
A: If your using another phone to connect, you can find the Connection in the regular Wifi connection screen under "Computer to Computer" Connections.

Q: There is no Shortcut in Programs.
A: Initially the App can by found under Start Menu >> Control Panel >> Connections.

Q: Do we need to turn on the wifi in the device where the program is running?
A: The app starts the Wifi by itself.

Q: My PC or Laptop is not seeing the SSID.
A: For the people having trouble seeing the network, make sure your pc displays adhoc connections and not just access points.

Q: I have no menubuttons on a HTC TP2 (german stock ROM). Any ideas?[/QUOTE]
A: This app has a 0409.mui so it either needs that Mui translated to 0407 or a translated version, for now it's just English.

Q: Wil this work on a QWVGA, QVGA or Non HTC Device.
A: There have been some confirms and spotted ports to Samsungs, so it is possible to make these versions

Beta Cab attached to Try, (since i can't right now ATM)

It places both Shortcut in Control Panel and in Programs.

Starting from Programs is regular
Starting from Control panel, will keep backlight on during use of app.

Oh snap! This program is sick! I tried to use wmwifi but wouldn't work for me. HTC's version just works! Plain and simple to use! Gotta love it!

Oh yeah, I actually got mine off of PPCGeeks yesterday.

did you plug your phone in and make sure you arent connected or partially connected to any other wifi spot. than plug your deivce in and choose internet sharing and your good to go.... make sure you have internet sharing unlocked if you are on stock rom and if on custom that is already built into the device.

finally!

something better out there than that wmwifirouter. no more going unsecure or using crash cleanup when it bus out. only thing is when you try to type or try to use the keyboard u cant see what your typing most of the time. just inconvinient but this is still > than wmwifirouter.

i find it to have better battery life than wmwifirouter without doubt..... you can also balance pretty high without battery going down fast which is nice to know...... basically what i mean by that since i dont think that sounded right is that you can actually for a while have your phone keep up with charging the battery as quick as it disperces the energy...... it can only do this for about 15-20 minutes but hell thats sdome extra time that you could ne doing what you are doing on the net :) battery and phone still get pretty heated at times especially if doing downloading but overall a great program i ditched wmwifirouter for.

Re: [APP] HTC Wifi Internet Sharing

unlike wmwifi when you turn off the screen while using htc wifi sharing it actually turns off wifi sharing. i havent really been using it that often to tell how much of a difference there is. since they both use wifi i dont think theres much of a difference anyways.

yup. it always heats up rather quick but thats usual. i only use it when i want to look up something really fast or few minutes of surfing on the go..other than that i got a handy retractable usb for tethering to save some battery life.

Re: [APP] HTC Wifi Internet Sharing

I didn't have any real problems with the heating up. When used for a longer duration I would expect a little heat, but nothing out of the norm. I agree with tehdefiant1 being that the connection is lost after the screen goes out. I even used my preset button to turn off display and not utilizing the power button and it still decided it no longer wanted to work. I think the program overall is great. It is easy to setup and use as stated previously. I would highly recommend. If we can get this to work with display off then then would be the perfect solution. Huge, because the display is going to drain the battery faster then on then off :)
