where to get my to repaired
 

Hey guys got a question about where to get my TP repaired at... it start acting up on me after i dropped it the other day and it hasnt been working right since then... i thought it coulda been a problem with my switching my OS from XP to Vista so i switched back and i still got a problem... the bottem half of the TP doesnt work ex. dpad, home, back, phone and end call all dont work i thought it coulda been a rom issue but i flashed to six different roms with the same results... and also every rom loads up super slow it takes about 10(not exaggerating) for touch flo to load up and it takes a little bit under that for titanium to load up but either way my hardware is causing software problems and i need to get it repaired... only thing is.. is that im on metro pcs and i dont have a sprint account so could i just take it to sprint and see if they'll do it or do i need to send it into a repair center or htc there selves... any help would be appreciated thanx

oooo makes it tough on you and if it went it went since you dont have insurance..... if you have a buddy with sprint put it on the account for a couple days and than make a claim..... or if you want i will get it replaced here for you if you want to send the phone over.

Well, do you have the metropcs insurance for lost phones? If so, that seems to be your best option.

Some Sprint/Nextel stores that are not actual stores may repair your handset for a flat rate, you can look on sprint's website for authorized repair centers in your area.

Did you buy the phone directly from MetroPcs? Maybe BestBuy?

I found this site via xda, they were suggested by one of the members there....
In any case, it sounds like you jarred something loose. There are how to faqs all over that show you how to take it apart and stuff. It sounds like one of the ribbon cables is broke or loose, IMO.

hey dash so how much will it cost to replace a phone?? my keyboard dont work at all :-( it lights up but wont respond.. or should i just wait till tp2 comes out.. if it ever will

your with sprint correct? do you have insurance and or TEP? that all comes into play.

I had the same issue... sprint replaced it for a brand new one in stoe, for free....

yeah i have sprint.. and i do have insurance but dont wanna use the insurance because i'm waiting for the touch 2 to come out then use insurace... just seeing sup with the hook if any one has it

you will be waiting over a year for that to happen i promise that..... you will be waiting for a long time and why not you can just say what is wrong with the phone as long as no water damage through the replacement site and get a new one (or refurbished depending on stock) sent to your house overnight free of charge and you just send the old one back....

so i got off the phone with sprint and they were pushing me to pay the 50 dollar deduct for a new phone sent to me.. but after a few mintues of hagging to them about how the phone is not older then a year and its should still be under warrity they said they will send me out a replacement at no charge :-)

So to all that is still under 1 year old... get it replaced for free :-)

nice and yup just be firm with them and stay to your roots and your punches and you will win :) congrats on getting the new phone sent to you and hopefully it wont be a refurb

got it in today and its a referb... hell no big deal no scratches or anything nice and clean.. and keyboard works... so no biggie didnt cost me a thing :-)
