active sync constant
 

my active sync randomly pops up. i've searched and found some cabs but they didn't work. i read through some other threads that said take it out of the windows startup folder, but it's not in there. i do have activesynckiller in that folder though. i have got it to stop on other roms. but no luck on this one. please help. i'm on nfsfans (or whatever) 6.5, not the latest build but the one just before the latest. plz & thnx

I have a couple cabs for ya that should fix that. Try this one 1st, if it don't help let me know ok. Not sure which active sync killer you have tried so here is one I use.

that is the cab i have, got it from ppcgeeks. i installed it on the device and it is in my windows start up folder, but it doesn't work. do you have to do anything once you run the cab?

this looks like it's for a pc. but it'll work for my ppc as well? if so i'll give it a shot. i'll probably dl it to my pc as well because when i plug it in, it keeps wanting to resinc again and again and again.

i got a rar file, threw it on the phone, opened it and it said it was not for ppc?

i thought i'd say f**k it and flash the new nfsfan 110. unfortunately, i think i have an issue with my pc. when i plug my phone in activesync fires up it says something about changes to the server and needs to sync or something. i press yes and it starts but then says something about outlook or proxiserver and set up outlook. then goes away. i don't use or never have used outlook. don't really know anything about it but it's some microsoft email thing. also, now i can't connect to my pc. activesync connects and then disconnects after 10-30 seconds. which means i can't even flash a different rom, because i don't have a connection. thought it was my phone so i performed a clear storage, but on connect i get the same thing. I HAVE NO IDEA?!?!?!?!?!?!? please help. plz and thnx

why not take the nbh and rename and flash from your card in manual bootloader? if you want further details on that check out the flashing guide it my signature.

i paused the sync action and it stayed connected. so i was able 2 flash. i was wondering if it might b something with my pc. i havnt tried 2 sync since i flashed. also, ive sync my contacts for months and have never done anything with outlook. never set up anything on pc or ppc. dont know anything about it. however, on the new rom (nfsfan 110) the activesync keeps poppin up still. what gives. maybe things like this is why we r now hearing about microsft phone. maybe theyll fix all the issues in "phonesync"

for everyone having issues with activesync, you should just try another rom. i had all the trouble with async. nothing would fix it permanently. switched to nrg rom and haven't had it pop up unwanted once. since i had so much trouble with it i'm paranoid and check it all the time. haven't had it running yet after about 4 days.
