something that pricey i would buy new. You could even buy from the manufacturer you like outlet site. Back when i bought my Inspiron 6000 it was 1400 i paid 700 and got a 3 yr warranty. cause it was refurbished...but i didn't care look brand new and had warranty as brand new....Same thing with my Inspiron 4125. was going for 1600 paid 900. so shop the outlets they have deals waiting.

some links

Dell

What do you plan on doing with the computer? you need a basic or high end ?

HP Sucks balls!! sorry :) they stuff their computers with bloatware

Try dell , Acer(higher end models) , Asus

Stick with Intel processors as they are more energy efficient, thus your battery will last longer and they are faster :p

agreed. Although amd makes a good product. but on desktop end. Idk intel hurt me....lol damn it intel we have feelings......and agreed hp is blah. although on the bloatware aspect i laugh. The last computer i bought as you know metal was my desktop. the stock os lasted as long as it took make sure all hardware was working. then i upgraded to vista ultimate. since then 7 ultimate. point is look at hardware what you get. os it just a link away.lol

p.s. 64 bit rocks

the price may be great but what are u actually getting, i read somewhere that people have been selling things on craigs list then doing the switcheroo and the buyer is out and gets something much less quality and the seller is no where to be found...

most manufacturers are offering upgrade to 7. in fact i believe anyone who has bought a pc in past few months is eligible.

Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program," the deal provides free or nearly-free upgrades to Windows 7 for people who purchase a new Vista PC between June 26, 2009 and Jan. 31, 2010.

no that would be a full disc. the upgrade runs from your current system and keeps documents and pictures stuff like that programs too. but heres the catch 90% of units being sold have vista basic. guess what basic isnt part of the upgrade deal. personally i already am on 7rtm fully activated. and that was on a brand new system.

IBM-Lenovo isn't bad either. Here's the outlet website
Code:

http://outlet.lenovo.com/
You can find new, redistributed and refurbished. I like IBM because of their support. Not that the support is the best but when lenovo brought IBM back when they made sure to keep the support intact. So its still state side.

You download the iso OS(stick with win7 x64) of your choice and burn to dvd...pop it in the dvd-drive and boot from the dvd and delete partition, reformat and create a fresh new partition to install fresh non-bloatware os, clean right from Microsoft.

really easy, if not hit me up
