flashing rom
 

when it comes down to flashing rom being as though they have more then 1 out, how do you really distinguish which roms are good and which one will kill your phone. are there any out that i need to watch out for? because i have downloaded programs where they say the program doesnt work for a tp but it works perfectly on my tp so i just wanna know is there a way to tell, just a thought...thanks in advance

the best thing u can do is read, read and read again. Before i flash a rom i read the thread of the rom here and also at ppcgeeks just to make sure i get the most out of it. I also listen to peoples reviews, those are very helpful. I tend to follow dash and his roms because he is always right on the money.....but the best is read and trial and error......

you have to read, read read. And have patience and relax. it depends on what you want to install on your phone and what rom you have on your phone at the time. ie webis pocket informant will NOT work on a 6.5 rom, but will run on a 6.1 rom. sometimes people do not know how to install a program on their phone and in a panic they post in the forums about it not working. best thing to do when installing a program, is read the entire thread, usually the users start posting the same questions without reading first. here and several other sites the first/opening post is constitanly updated with the latest info which make life easter on the staff and user.

i couldn't agree more READ READ... before i did my first flash i read all the problems i could encounter all the what ifs... so i could know how to trouble shoot it
