[ ISSUE SOLVED ] TP not displaying maps geocachingcom
 

I have an unmodded TP from Sprint running their newest rom update. I am also a premium member on geocaching.com, which allows me to view and download detailed geocache info on their site.

The issue i'm having is that when I access the geocaching.com website with my TP, and access a cache page, the topo map displayed on the lower part of the page does not load - all I get is an empty square where the Topografix map should be.

I also am unable to display the area map that shows all the caches in the general area.

I'm sure this is most likely a missing plug in or something for the browser, but as of yet I cannot find any info on Wckediden by searching that could help me in determining how to correct this problem, or what I need to do/install to get the maps to show.

Again, the TP is running the newest release stock rom from the HTC website. I am not modding this phone yet because I just recently got it and am waiting to make sure it is going to hold up in case it has to be returned.

Any helpful advice is appreciated!

try skyfire or bolt they both play flash... most likely the map is flash generated.

Wow, Dash! You really ARE the man!

The Skyfire was dead on! I installed it, logged onto Geocaching.com, and VIOLA! all the maps and even the satellite imagery was displaying with no issues at all! As you said, it MUST have been a flash issue!

I had even tried this with Internet Explorer on my phone with no luck.

Now I actually CAN go out geocaching with my TP and not have to lug my netbook along into the field!
