load garmin on the sd card. after the install move the extracted img file to the garmin folder on the card. whoot

I will have you know kind sir, I've had Garmin since it was 4.20.50 or whatever verision it was. Which I've been running since before I started being active here. However, I did download your version since I knew it was virus free and quality work. It's on my external HD for backup as I type this. But I guess I have to give credit where credit is due, and thanks again for the latest maps. nerd.

I can't wait for the release of 5.00.30 for North America thou.

you will need to install garmin mobie xt on your phone.

after you have installed and entered the serial numbers.

download the new map in this thread.

extract it and move it to your storage card and into garmin folder.

you will need to rename it to gmapsupp.img it will overwrite the old map file, if you have already installed an older map.

ok so what we are talking about in the other garmin xt thread I would not need then? Or does that serve a bigger purpose. As of right now I have no maps on my phone but do have the app installed and registered, thanks for all the help thus far!

FYI for everyone: there seems to be a misconception about garmin software.

1. there is navigation software, which doesn't have any maps and
2. maps without any software.
3. you need both to work together.

this thread is for the maps only.

if you have installed and regged the navigation software from the other thread, you only need to download the map from this thread and drop it into the garmin folder on your sd card.

about 3 to 4 times a year garmin will release map updates for their gps units and mobile xt. thus maps 201010, 201020, 201030. with each update the only thing you should need to do is drop the new maps into the garmin folder since they have updated information.

You have two options 1. Wait 2. Become A premium member.... with rhapid share they only allow so many free users at a time, mid day seems to be pretty busy I find downloading at night or early morning is best, but a spot will open up just keep trying and trust me it is worth it!!

p.s i started on v4 as well. mirrored that post. been packing em since. personally i cant wait for a map installer. i hate using ulocked images. ya they work but their code source is from another device. I think they run smoother on loading if you do it the map installer way and unlock with keygen per device. p.s. i already have new map installer keygen. and custom map id to use. now we just need a image to leak.

the garmin navigation software 5.00.30. its out for india, and several other places, I'm waiting for the english version.

is it just for the device? i see its been on garmins site for awhile for normal garmin units. but for mobile xt .0 shows latest for me on their site.

the link kaos posted just above yours is the latest navigation software for ppc's. you will need the maps from this post to make it all work.


and btw, i thought you were going to send me an sd card so i could install it for you.



lastly, i have stewie as the voice for my TP2. it's pretty funny too.

installing was weird as all hell....it installed on my actual pc. moved over to pda working so far. using unlocked maps i posted so far so good.

p.s. lmao ya dash you were going to send me a sd to do it for ya too...i think your like us. i wont let another do it. i know it can be done...so i must do myself..lol

5.20 qnd up ui is so much better different coloring. one think i noticed in these maps already is by me it now displays speed limits on my garmin in areas it didn't before.

how/ what did you use to move the nav software to the phone? I tried win explorer, overwrote stuff, tried the app on the computer, all with no luck. I know in the past, the garmin app would overwright what was on the storage card.

it's not THAT bad. the olde map lagged about 2 seconds. The new map lags about 2.5 or 3 seconds. It's really not that bad unless, you are in a big city and don't know where you are going and can't multi-task. I mean really? it does have the next turn on the top of the screen as a hint.

the lag your talking about is not garmin its the device. do the weaks you will be fine. ive run this since monday. 8hrs plus a day. havent had a issue at all. loads just as fast as maps i did for my device with map source..
