Galaxy S24 gets Call Brief, My FanCam, and other AI features from Galaxy S2
 

Samsung has just released the second One UI 9.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series today. Alongside bug fixes and stability improvements, the new software update brings multiple Galaxy AI-powered features, which were initially introduced with the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, to the Galaxy S24 series.



The One UI 9.0 Beta 2 update includes four new features:

1. Call Brief
2. My FanCam
3. Now Brief Custom Cards
4. Now Nudge

The Call Brief feature displays relevant information about the caller directly on your screen, allowing for more effortless conversations.



My FanCam, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, can track a specific person in an existing video and auto-crop the footage to follow them. This is ideal if you want to focus on a single person in a video featuring several people, such as your child, a family member, or a specific artist on stage.



The Custom Cards feature in Now Brief lets you consolidate several data points from Samsung Health, Samsung Weather, and your preferred YouTube video types into a single custom card. You can then schedule that card to display at a specific time of day on set days of the week (or every day).



Now Nudge analyzes on-screen context to surface relevant information from your phone, including calendar events, proactive suggestions, app and Google Maps shortcuts, and autofill prompts.



All of these features rolled out to the Galaxy S25 series last week with its most recent One UI 9.0 beta update.
