I'm assuming it's because 8GB microSD cards are still not widely available. So while a device may support a higher SDHC (an HTC rep told me the Touch supports up to 32GB), companies usually cap the support for some reason or another. It wouldn't surprise me if it's to help generate revenue for companies like Sandisk as Memory in these SD cards increase.

As for your issue, you might try to reformat your card first, and make sure it's formatting in FAT32. If your computer is recognizing your card, there shouldn't be any issue with dragging and dropping unless there is a formatting issue. It could also be your computer lacks a driver. If your memory card is from Sandisk, their website under support has some drivers you can install if that's the problem. If that doesn't work, it just might be because your memory card is going bad. Again, Sandisk's website under support has warranty information. They cover their products for a year, so you might be able to get a replacement.

By the way, I have a Sandisk Micromate card reader, and I have no problems with it for reading and transferring files.
thanks for the insight bro i might have to bust mine open tomorrow once i get back from work and get some sleep and test the bad boy out on my touch since it works flawlessly on my mogul already...... i had a feeling that it was prolly a driver issue but wasnt quite sure. once again thanks for the input .
