its called htc performance plus but just do a quick search for performance plus and you iwll be straight. and technically yes it can brick the phone but i have been doing it for almost a month now and have experienced no peoblmes on the original 2.17 rom or the new leaked rev a rom for my mogul. and my touch also handled it very well.
