Default Question about changing my DNS server to OpenDNS

So I have been reading a tone about my Sprint Touch, tweaking it here and there. In my browsing I came across a site (which I won't link since this is my first post) that has a tweak that converts your phone from DNS to OpenDNS. I understand the reg edits and ip address changes, but what I don't understand is how to stop the HTC_CM_Guardian.exe file from running each time I restart my phone. It is explained in the other forum that "we are going to take a small inert file on our device and rename it to HTC_CM_Guardian.exe and then move it to the \device\windows folder on our touch and confirm overwrite (use Resco or similar to overwrite) so the real HTC_cm_guardian won't start." Does anyone know what file to use as the "inert file" and do you know how to get this file to replace the HTC_CM_Guardian.exe file? There are a number of people that say they have done this mod and that it works great. I just can't get past this point with the information that has been given. Any help would be much appreciated.
