So same old story, boy with absolutly no PPC experience buys Mogul, boy falls in love with Mogul then alas boy feels Mogul is not doing enough to satisfy his needs and goes out looking for more. At this point I have gotten my Mogul to perhaps its zenith in current configuration. I am running the newest stock ROM with many good apps procured from throughout the internet but mostly through this site. Of course at this point I have heard much about custom ROM's but between the whole flashing a custom ROM thing being intimidating(I am in no way tech illiterate just very little experience with mobile technology) I also lack knowledge that I think would benefit me greatly. Mainly the pro's and cons to custom ROM's, I know some ROM's run 6.1 but what does that mean to me? What are the additional benefits? I have been looking for some way to increase available RAM as well as speed the device up, perhaps a reg edit to take some internal memory from storage to program if such a thing is even possible. I guess what I am asking for is a little more technical knowledge on the benefits of custom ROM's and to go with that knowledge what custom ROM's do you find the best and why. I have got to say that this place really is the hidden jewel of smartphone/ppc websites. Took me a while to discover(I have had the mogul since early feb) but since finding this place you all have not stopped astonishing me with not only the tech knowhow but the overwhelming willingness to share that knowledge in a very helpful manner.
