Persistence got me this far with my phone so I figured I'd try this approach. This is exactly what I did several times to try and install with the same end negative result. I Unzipped the Rar file to a folder on my desktop. I then ended up with 5 files-3 zips, a Keygen 3_0 exe file and a Garmin Mobile XT 4.20.30w nfo file. I then selected the Garmin mobile XT zip and selected this zip and files were extracted and took me to a Garmin setup screen. I highlighted the storage card and selected install. After a minute or so, the phone prompts me "do I want to install Garmin Mobile XT Software". I select yes and software is installed and goes to EULA agreement which I agree. Auto runs and then says installation has completed successful, "Do I want to run Garmin". Due to the fact that I already have the device ID, several attempts and removals, with no luck previously selecting yes at this prompt, I say no. I then repeat this process of the XT Support File where I receive message on phone that the latest version of GarminXT is already installed do you want to run it. I select no, again from previous installs of selecting yes at this prompt. I then do same process at freebase map. After I get done here. I did not run the software, I closed the program and went to Keygen. I inserted the Device ID I had from previous attempts and received the key. I copied the key to wordpad and saved as sw.unl (no text) to storage card/ Garmin folder and soft reset. I still was prompted that I had a trial, purchase go to bluetooth device picks. What am I doing incorrect. I think of myself as being able to figure things and I'm not a dumb ass but this process is really frustrating me. Is there an obvious mistake someone can point out in my process. I did not use keygen for the 2008map. Was I suppose to get that at the same time I got the key? If so what do i name that file and where do i save it to? I thought that the keygen would automatically load the map. Is that what's holding me back. I have a road trip next week and would like to use this.
Wow that was long Ok, just becuz u don't see .txt doesn't mean its not there. it probably is but ur explorer is not set to show it. Copy the code onto the notepad on ur computer and save it as Type: All file types. It wont attach a .txt. then copy that back to ur card.
